Our stay started off on a bad note dealing with the hotel manager. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it had advertised free wi-fi in the rooms. When we called the front desk to ask how to set up we were told that the "free" wi-fi is too slow to use for the internet and can only be used for text based emails but there is a faster available for 15 R$ a day. Not crazy expensive, but it is still a bit of a con. The free service is unusable, so you are forced to pay for the faster service. When I called to complain about this, i was hung up on 3 times until finally I spoke to the manager. She told me that they were only obligated to provide a wi-fi connection and that she didnt care whether it was useable or not that I should just pay and shut up. After a long discussion, the manager finally gave in and gave us the fast service for free for the duration of our visit. Add that to the fact that only twin beds are available in this hotel, and the gym was shut down for the duration of our stay, I wouldn't reccomend this hotel. I don't like the feeling of being ripped off, whether it is $15/day or not.
