“Good hotel but check facilities are working”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We stayed at the Slaviero hotel from the 16th of Dec 2011 for few night. The hotel is nice, a good 10 min from a metro station and surrounded of good restaurants. I recommend particularly the filet mignon of the restaurant just in front (insalata), and the local bar right at hotel exit, at the corner of the road, lovely people which do their best to welcome english speakers.
The only issue we had with the hotel was that the Sauna was not working in December, and I would say that the reception staff is not that welcoming, and moskito bites...Otherwise, big and clean room which was a nice change after spending 3 weeks on a cruise ship!
Enjoy your stay

Room Tip: Just don't forget to close the bathroom window...

“Nice option in Sao Paulo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Rooms are big, bathrooms are clean and spacious. Nice location. My only comment would be that the TVs and the Gym need some updating, but it is a great place to stay in Sao Paulo- tons of nice restaurants nearby and you can walk around that neighborhood safely. Would definitely recommend

“better than expected for the money you pay”

When arrived first impression was it's ok ,the staff makes the difference here. Room is clean and ok, quiet room and bed is ok. Bit more than you would get at a Ibis or even at a mercure although you can see that furniture and bathroom been there for some time . Downstairs at restaurant and bar it's good, up to date, breakfast is very good . Location wise it's also perfect . We went for weekend to Ilhabela and did choose same hotel after that so yes, it;s good value for money !

“Good Hotel for business.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

I chose this Hotel on the recommendations in Trip. The Hotel is in a residential district within walking sidtance from Paulista, Moden Art and the intersting area of Oscar Freire.
The room was large, had a great desk area, not the usual ridiculous facing the wall dest, but one that you would actually have in an office. Small but great shower, no water on the floor. The bed was very very comfortable and linen excellent.
Breakfast is good and is in the dinining area downstairs, a little dark, but very nicely decorated. Easy to get in out to meetings and the wifi, not free, was well priced, 15 reais a day. This hotel is not incorporate, it is just good!

“Sub-par customer service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2010

Our stay started off on a bad note dealing with the hotel manager. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it had advertised free wi-fi in the rooms. When we called the front desk to ask how to set up we were told that the "free" wi-fi is too slow to use for the internet and can only be used for text based emails but there is a faster available for 15 R$ a day. Not crazy expensive, but it is still a bit of a con. The free service is unusable, so you are forced to pay for the faster service. When I called to complain about this, i was hung up on 3 times until finally I spoke to the manager. She told me that they were only obligated to provide a wi-fi connection and that she didnt care whether it was useable or not that I should just pay and shut up. After a long discussion, the manager finally gave in and gave us the fast service for free for the duration of our visit. Add that to the fact that only twin beds are available in this hotel, and the gym was shut down for the duration of our stay, I wouldn't reccomend this hotel. I don't like the feeling of being ripped off, whether it is $15/day or not.
