“Perfectly fine; nothing spectacular, convenient neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

I stayed here for a combination of business and the wedding of one of my clients. The neighborhood was convenient to nice restaurants. The neighborhood seemed fine, but I walked with my laptop bag wearing a suit to a prospective client's office three or four blocks away and the client insisted that I take a cab back. The breakfast was fine, not spectacular. The wifi, bed and shower were all good (my chief criteria for a hotel). Nothing was spectacular. My previous stay at the Hilton in Sao Paulo was different -- spectacular room, impressive buffet breakfast, amazing view, but much more expensive and less convenient neighborhood. On my next trip, I'd prefer the Hilton but would happily stay here as well.

“Average hotel for an average price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011 via mobile

Arriving off a 7am flight I didn't expect my room to be ready, but you might expect a place to shower and change in before setting off for meetings? But don't expect it here, unless you want to pay for half a days room rent.
Staff are helpful and very pleasant.
Bar on small with no atmosphere or comfy seating (there are seats though!)
Rooms- I was on 18th floor, which was ok until the wind changed to south west... So did the runway at the city airport- pretty awesome seeing the passengers waving as they skim the hotel (almost) but constant traffic above from 7am till11pm; beware this hotel is on the direct flight path. Overall the room was functional for a business trip, in line with most raddisons, however this is brazil; cracked basin, snapped iron board, no bottle opener, no mini bar service. I'm not complaining about the place, just not in a hurry to stay here again.

“An average business hotel in safe area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I stayed at the hotel for business, it is not a bad place but because of the weather or I don't know why, there was unpleasant smell no matter how long the window-doors were open.
The service of the hotel for dinner needs improvement - you wait forever and don't expect anything much.
The hotel is next to a busy road and it was noisy (not to neglect the passing planes and helicopters)
The gym on the top floor is OK, the pool apparently was quite heavily treated; The towels had not too fresh smell. At least the internet was for free...

“Good for business or pleasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

I stayed a few days in November, and had a very nice visit. I chose this hotel for it's location and price, and got a very good deal.

I was particularly pleased with the front desk staff, and was surprised to see some of the other reviews of this hotel that mentioned bad service. They help me with several arrangements before I arrived via e-mail correspondence (car service, tickets to an event) and everything was perfectly arranged. They also helped me with some more services during my stay. Great concierge service, and it was from the regular front desk staff. After the first day, I was greeted by name by several of the incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

The room was nicely appointed and clean and modern. Everything worked well, and there were plenty of power plug adapters. All the outlets in my room were 110v with the new Brazilian "universal" plugs, but came with adapters to US style. The hotel is one block off from a busy intersections, so there was plenty of traffic noise. But it was more of a drone, than loud sounds. I was never woken up by the traffic, nor did I have any trouble falling asleep. The bed was very comfortable, with a great feather bed (duvet) comforter.

The pool, fitness center, and sauna on the top floor are amazing. Even if you just take the elevator up to enjoy the view - it's spectacular.

Check out the restaurant row on R. Amauri across Av. Faria Lima two blocks away from the hotel. Several great restaurants, including a couple of SP's best.

I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: as for one on the back side if traffic noise bothers you.

“What happened to this hotel?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions in the past and found it to be quite nice, but my most recent visit was quite different. There has obviously been a management change and the quality of the service has suffered greatly. Also the quality of the food at breakfast was terrible. The man making eggs looked like he had just been released from jail. This hotel does not have the service that you expect from a Radisson Hotel.
