Basic business hotel: practical, no frills.

Pros: breakfast (yet not diversified), spacious room with sofa, mini-kitchen, king sized bed and location (safe upscale area with lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, but all very expensive).

Cons: bathroom is OK, but needs refreshment.

Quality suites is the only hotel in the cenrte of Jardins. Ask anyone, this is the best area of SP - totally safe and next to the best shops and restaurants . It is also only a ten minute walk from Av. Paulista . The apartments are large (600 sq feet) and even have balconies on the higher floors . These are well appointed . Free underground parking . Good breakfast and the restaurant is excellent should you wish to stay in . All in all four star quality for an unbelievable $100 per night . Quite a find

On the positive side, the hotel is relatively clean and inexpensive and is in a great location, a short walk to the shopping of Oscar Freire and halfway between the Paulista and Faria Lima business districts. Parking is efficient and the small restaurant serves a good breakfast and decent dinner. The room is not large, but large enough. There is a small safe anda small kitchen.

On the negative side, the bathroom is very dated, the bed is uncomfortable, the room is poorly lit and most appallingly the internet service is very poor. It is a cable, not wireless, and even then is slow -- when it is working. i have been here for two nights, and each night the system has crashed around 9pm, only to work again in the morning. The technical staff was unable to help. Most things can be done in the the small business center, but if you are working on a project or want to Skype home you do not want to rely on a hotel business center.

I would recommend this hotel for a budget-minded leisure traveller looking for a good location, but not for a serious business traveller who expects to work in the room.

Even if the rooms are quite standard they are spacious and the location is great and the price value for what you get is the best I found so far in SP if you wish to stay in this area.
