We stayed at this hotel for one night as part of our Brazil trip. Though adequate, the hotel left a lot to be desired. The rooms needed a lot of sprucing up, with the bathrooms particularly in bad shape. On the plus side, the hotel staff were really helpful so we bit our lip and kept quiet as it was only for one night. It also didn't help that it suffers from a poor location, but then again this is Sao Paulo. Probably the least attractive place I've visited.

The Pergamon is a paragon of simplicity: the sort of thing that European 'boutique' hotels try hard to imitate, I suppose, although the Pergamon sensibly steers clear of designer bells and whistles. It's reasonably priced, the service is smiling, the food nicely done, and the calm atmosphere belies its location near the centre of the sprawling mass that is Sao Paulo. Heck, my stay even motivated me to write this review, which is a first. I'll be back.
Tip: ask for a room on one of the top floors - the view of downtown SP is majestic.

We really enjoyed staying at the stylish Pergamon. They are friendly and modern place. It is near a mall with restaurants and movie theaters. The room was clean, but maybe a bit run down. We loved the great breakfast. Next time in SP we will stay there again.
