Very nice hotel. I've been here twice in January on business trip.

Location is ok, close to Praca Pan Americana and not to far from some very nice bars and restaurants.

The rooms are spacious, nice walkthrough closet with the bathroom behind. Good bathroom, separate bath and shower. The room has a nice living room, kitchen and balcony. Didn't use the pool facility. The breakfast is included but not spectacular, although not bad either. The waiters are very friendly but not speaking any English.

Downsides: No free wifi, no iron board in the room. (but there is off course laundry service and a drycleaner next door)

However, I would really recommend this hotel to my collegues!

We traveled here from the US so my husband could lecture at USP. The hotel was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We stayed for a week. The staff was very fast and efficient, not to mention very kind and courteous. They were especially so when it came to getting cabs for us to travel. They always had drivers who were quick and inexpensive.
The food was excellent, with a good variety. The suite was spacious, modern and very clean. It's location is good if you want to go mall shopping or to the university.

Quick review of a very good apartment style business hotel in Pinheiros. (Note this is not located in the center of Sao Paulo -- nor is it located near Avenida Paulista. Its approximately 20 minutes in a cab to those areas). This hotel is fairly close to Vila Magdalana and the big shopping malls (Igautami is about 5 minutes in cab). Strongly recommended--especially if you have business in that area of the huge city.

The George IV hotel in Pinheiros is great. I have lived close to the hotel for a year (as I am married to a brazilian). There are a few good restuarants and bars nearby and you are close enough to the business district and other frequented areas so well located. My family have stayed here in large numbers a few times before and they have thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The rooms are very spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. There is a good selection of food available. Most importantly the staff there really look after you. As all my family don't speak Portuguese and a lot of the staff there speak English they had plenty of requests thrown at them! They are really helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. If you are staying in Sao Paulo on business or pleasure then I would highly recommend George IV hotel
