When we arrived we were placed in a floor where they were doing entire renovation work, it was like a war zone, dust everywhere and heavy pounding. We immediately called and were relocated to another room. You cannot accommodate guests in areas that are being renovated, that is a safety hazard (perhaps not in Brazil, but all over the US and Europe it is). I thought this was cheap and I felt sorry for the other guests who did not complain and had to endure this torture.
Rooms are basic at best and I think this is a three start hotel that barely gets there. The fitness center has a smurf sized pool, old fitness equipment, and overpriced massage spa.
Close to avenida paulista and all the expensive restaurants in the area where a soup might fare $20.
Sao Paulo is chaos of traffic and smog. If you can go to other areas of Brazil that would be better.
