We stayed for one month while my wife worked at the nearby HC hospital and I explored Sao Paulo. This was a secure, clean, and very comfortable hotel with a fantastic breakfast every morning. The location is also excellent, about 3 blocks from a metro stop and in an upscale neighborhood near the "Rodeo Drive' of Brazil.

Breakfast was great, with an assortment of breads, pastries, scrambled eggs, pao de queijo and either sausage or bacon, plus cereals, yogurt, and fruit.

We stayed in the most basic room and even that was spacious enough to spend a month there without stepping on each other's toes. The rooms have a fridge which is handy, as well as a desk, couch, and TV and wardrobe-style closet.

Marcia, our housekeeper, was amazing and friendly- she was very thorough and incredibly helpful. We miss her!

The only downside to this hotel (and all of Sao Paulo, in our experience) is that laundry is quite expensive, whether you use the hotel service or seek out your own (which is cheaper but still not laundromat cheap). This surprised us- coin laundromats are non-existent in Sao Paulo.

Additionally, we used the workout room frequently and it was adequate for our needs. The business center is free in addition to the free ethernet connections in the rooms. There is a free printer in the business center as well.

Overall, the hotel is secure with a 24 hour guard, English speaking staff, and in a safe neighborhood with good restaurants within walking distance- Bonde Paulista pizzeria two blocks away is fantastic. Would stay there again and everytime we visit Sao Paulo.

The hotel is clean, bright, well situated and quiet. The room I was in was a very good size - comparable to what would be considered a fairly large European room, or a good basic American room. The hotel is not fancy, but it is certainly more than adequate. The staff are very gracious, although their English is extremely limited. The "business center" is two computers sitting on folding tables w/ excruciatingly slow internet speed. There is complimentary web access in the room if you bring a laptop. Breakfast is fine - nothing extraordinary but certainly sufficient.

This is a good hotel if you're in Sao Paulo on business and need a safe, decent place to stay. I think it's far better suited to the business traveler than to tourists. It is within walking distance of the University Medical School and various hospital/care facilities.

Stayed here for a week whilst on a working trip. The hotel is located in the upper end of the Rua Oscar Freire, about a 10 minute walk away from the trendy shops and cafés, so it's pretty quiet. Staff were polite and discreet, rooms were large by European standards, no luxury but clean and well maintained. The breakfast is decent, but the dining room a little cramped.
Nearby there is an internet café, a convenience store and a good pizzeria. About a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station, the area feels very calm and safe, I was comfortable walking around here. Taxi rank just outside the door. Overall I enjoyed my stay

Comfort Suites Oscar Freire is a great place to stay in São Paulo. Friendly Staff, nice rooms, fantastically located near Paulista Avenue and on a walking distance to two subway stations (Clinicas and Sumare). Besides there are plenty of nice stores and restaurants/Cafes about 3-4 blocks far from the hotel on the same street
