We stayed here for 3 days after we decided to make a last minute stop in Sao Paulo not knowing the city at all. We were lucky that we chose this place. This is a safe, upscale neighbourhood 3 blocks from a large shopping centre with a Starbucks:) There is a supermarket close by with many restarants in the university area of this neighbourhood. We visited Rio, and Salvador on our trip and this was the first neighbourhood we actaully felt safe walking around. You will have to take a cab to see the sights or the metro, however, overall, it was a SUPER location (unlike the other hotels we stayed in while in Brazil). The front desk was always busy and seemed undrstaffed. They were helpful although they lacked a concierge and tourist info. I have seen some complaints that no one spoke english, however, this is the case for almost ANY hotel in Brazil. English is not really used in Brazil.
The rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable. Not outstanding, but not bad at all. We were vvery happy with our choice of hotel considering some of the supposed 5 star hotels in Brazil that were more like 2 star...Good value for your money.

Stayed six nights in August 2010. Location of the hotel is in a good and safe area.

Hotel reception staff is professional, but understaffed during the peak hours.

Breakfast buffet is good but was not included in price.

Internet connections were hopeless causing loss of time and creating difficulty in organizing meeting with emails. Standard internet connection worked only occasionally and Premium connection at an additional price for standard rooms works only at 254 kb/s speed. Internet support service outsourced, no wifi transmitter on 9th floor. Despite these shortcoming, hotel was somewhat reluctant in giving complementary access to pc terminals (3) at business center, which is also outsourced.

Hotel management should wake up and not charge for internet service until it is updated to modern standards. No apologies presented by the management.

Stayed also on 23rd floor and noted water pressure in shower to be low.

Wifi did work in hotel restaurant public area on the ground floor.

Due to location and professional members of staff could come again, but knowing that, due to wifi shortcomings, a Brazilian mobile phone card is a necessity if staying at this hotel.

Great, standard high-end hotel - the best feature was probably the location, Higienopolis is a great area of Sao Paulo to stay in. We were staying there in a large group for a wedding, and really enjoyed our time there. The rooms were clean and large, and the pool area was very nice. Breakfast was quite good, although not included in our price. The staff were reasonably helpful.

This hotel was nice and conveniently located for our business in Sao Paulo, but I was very disappointed in the service upon our arrival at the hotel.

We arrived early, as all international flights arrive in the morning. We had meetings scheduled, so we wanted to shower and clean up before our meetings with customers. We were todl our room would be ready around 11 a.m. when we arrived at the hotel, so we ate breakfast and waited. Only one of our 2 rooms was ready and it wasn't available until 12:15. We were almost late to our meeting adn we did not have time to clean up. I was very disappointed the hotel swayed us to believe our room would be ready with plenty of time to spare. I realize there is a proper check-in time later in the afternoon, but if we would have known we couldn't get a room earlier than 12:00, we would have made other arrangements. I've traveled to Sao Paulo and stayed in mulitple hotels and this was the very first one who did not have a room available the morning of my arrival.

I was also diappointed in the air conditioner in my room. I was hot throughout the entire stay. I thought this was just a problem with the hotel, then I later found out my collegues had nice, cool rooms. I should have complained.

I ordered room service one evening - speghetti - very simple! It took an hour to get to the room. I finally called for the status and they quickly brought it up. I don't know how long I would have waited if I hadn't called.
