Great location for shopping, front desk staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast is perfectly adequate. The bedroom we had was lovely, very big, clean and just like the images on the website. Would definitely stay here again, most importantly it is very reasonably priced in a very expensive City.

The Golden Tulip Park Plaza is extremely well located for those on business in Sao Paulo. It's situated near the financial district with public transport and taxis available in the area. Lots of restaurants, bars and banks in the area. ATMs are easily found should you need to get some cash. The hotel room was clean, spacious and had a good-sized minibar, which can be filled with items bought in a neighboring supermarket (Carrefour). The items sold in the minibar are quite pricy. The breakfast was enough, but could be improved - lots of the same. The facilities are very clean overall. The hotel offers a gym, spa and swimming pool. Good for a relaxing evening after a long business day. The internet was a disappointment. The hotel charges extra, but offers 20 minutes free for guests. Believe it or not, I couldn't make it work in those 20 minutes. Of course I didn't hire the extra. It's unbelievable some hotels still charge for that. The hotel could also improve their beds and pillows. I heard people complaining about the mattresses and pillows while at breakfast. I would say my pillows were not that comfortable either. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though.

I came back to the Golden Tulip Park Plaza on Alameda Lorena after two years.
The hotel starts to look a bit aged. Bathrooms are tiny and could use an facelift. Service is good and curteous with English and German speaking front desk staff which is very helpfull at all times. Sao Paulo is an expensive city - no doubt. I find the value of the hotel compared to the facilities offered a bit overpriced but the location in the Jardins area is excellent with many good restaurants at walking distance. With the extremely chaotic traffic situation in Sao Paulo it can take anything from 40 minutes to two hours to get to the international airport in Guarulhos. So plan in enough time or else the flight leaves without you...

I agree with other reviews here that the hotel is getting on a bit and the room quality is nothing to write home about. But in all honesty, I think it's one of the more reasonably priced hotels in the Jardim neighbourhood and you get what you pay for.

I thought the room I had was a a really decent size and the bathroom was clean. Yes it does exude a late 80s/early 90s feel and time for revamp is due, but compared to what I had to deal with in Florianopolis and Rio where I paid 3 times as much as the room was 10 times worse, I was quite happy to get a room where everything just works. If anything about the room requires the management's immediate attention, it is definitely the bed and linens. The blanket was ultra-thin and the mattress and pillows just weren't very comfortable. Should be an easy thing to fix with a small investment.

It is in a relatively safe neighbourhood (still this is a city you want to take caution everywhere you go), about 15 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. I booked through expedia and my credit card was charged by expedia at the time I made the booking. The staff however, was confused by this, I assume most of their guests pay for the room at the hotel at check out. So if you book through an agent that you already paid, make sure you sort this out upon check-in.
