We went to Sao Paulo from Mexico specially for a wedding. We were very cautious with our lugagge for the wedding. We did not checked it to avoid the risk of delays or loosing it. We arrived to the Mercure on Aug 6 (two days before the wedding). Aug 7th I asked for press service of a brand new suit (before 10 AM, so I have it back the same day). The suit was picked up until 11. The jacket was delivered at 19 hrs the day of the weddig (not pressed and in a worst condiction that the original one) just minutes before I had to leave to the church!. The pant did not arrived until 11 pm and it was not pressed!. I ask for my suit several times during the day of the wedding and they told me that the problem is the traffic at Sao Paulo (they use a laundry service located 60 miles from Sao Paulo). They offered me to go to the front desk to dig in their "pants reserve" to see if one of these will fit me, so I can go to the wedding. Of course I refuse that. Finally they offered me going to the mall to buy me a new pant -15 minutes before the wedding!
The next day, my Ipod and Shure headphones were "missed" from my briefcase when I leave my luggage with the bell boy after check out.
They said that they found no evidence of someone touching my lugagge. I suppose this means I am a lier???
I wrote a letter to the manager - Just apollogies, not really a good response.
