This was my third stay and on each trip I find the staff to be friendly and cooperative, although sometimes a bit difficult to communicate with as a good majority of them speak little English and my Portugues in almost non existent, fortunately my Spanish helps with the understanding.
WIFI was available and at no charge, this is very positive. As far as TV quality is concerned, it is not one of my top priorities, so I can not add any comments.
The breakfast buffet is acceptable and reasonable in price. I have also dined in the evening and find the food to be quite acceptable if one has to dine in.
One could say this hotel is showing some signs of age or overuse; the lifts are quite slow and prone to breakdown, the rooms are looking a bit long in the tooth. Whilst they are clean, they smell very stale and dusty, a good hoovering would be in order and some fresh ventilation might help.
The quality of sleep aspect in my mind is not very good. Sound isolation does not seem to exist. The is noise eminating from outdoors as well as indoors; truck noise in the early morning hours and late night noise from the flats behind the hotel. To top it off the sevice staff seem to find a need to be banging doors and opening and closing hallway linen closets at strange hours of the evening and early morning and that coupled with them talking in loud voices makes it somewhat difficult to get a good night sleep. Had it happened only once I would have let it pass, but it has happened multiple times.
So, will I stay again, a good possibility due to location, but I do hope management has a look at this posting and takes corrective action where possible.
