Stayed at Blue Tree Faria Lima on recent business trip. Rate was about US$240. Other than being convenient to the many business offices along Av. Juscelino Kubitschek, this hotel has little else going for it. My room was small and plain. The bed is a Murphy Bed that folds down out of the wall. Mold in the shower was another disappointment.
It has a health club and pool on the top floor. I must say that this has sweeping views of the city and it is a good place to catch the sun rise. The equipment however is very old. Three treadmills but one made such a horrific screaching noise that it was unusable. Also an elliptical and a bike. There is a small pool but it was a little murky (a sign says they do not use chlorine).
The hotel does serve a very nice breakfast that was included in the room price- eggs, breads, cereal, meats, juices and fresh fruit. There is also a small bar off the lobby that serves food.
There are several nice restaurants in the area that we walked to- Rascals, KAA, Kiichi.
But the convenience may a reason to stay here. My experience was that the traffic in this part of the city is horrible. Getting to a business in this part of the city from another hotel could take considerable time.
