“Beautiful lobby”

My husband and I traveled to Sao Paulo in Dec with a group for business. We didn't pick this hotel but were very happy with the stay. It is safe, modern, in a great location, rooms are nice, spa and workout area were great, and the lobby bar is a fun place to have a glass of wine. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast buffet and appreciated the glass of water at check in.

The service in this hotel was amazing. We were so spoiled and loved it. It is beautiful and very clean. The food was very good as well. The staff were very helpful.
I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to others.

“Never Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

I had terrible experiences in this hotel in both of the two very short stays. Rooms had to be renovated five years ago. They were both falling apart. I took many pictures but I am ashamed to post them. During my first stay, I had a room with a terrible smell. I thought that this used to be a smoking room but the reception staff informed me that this room was never a smoking room. Very rude staff. The bathroom was falling apart. I got the impression that the sheets on the bed was not changed when the previous guest left. I had to give some many to the maid to get the sheets changed. Second stay, different room, again terrible smell and the room was terribly dirty. My bathtub was full of hair from the previous guest(s)? Dirty towels with many dirty spots. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good, but very expensive. Moreover, we had a terrible experience in the sushi bar. I can claim to be a sushi expert, as I love it and I eat sushi more three four times a week. The tuna was rotten, and the chef knew it, as my nigiri tuna was full of hidden wasabi (between the fish and the rice). Unfortunately, I had it already in my month when I realized and I did not dare to take it out, as it will be bad in a business dinner, so I had to swallow it. However, my guest rushed out of the table to go to the toilette, once he put it on his month. He had taken it out. I called the waiter and told her about the tuna. She walked away without saying anything. Five minutes later, the Japanese chef came and he asked "what is the problem?". Once, I told him that the tuna was not good, he denied it, saying it is very fresh. He, then asked if we knew what is yellow fin tuna. I said to him that I am a big sushi fan and I told him in Japanese the four kinds of tuna that I knew. He disappeared without saying a word. Five minutes later, the waiter came and told us that the whole dinner is offered by the chef and we do not need to pay anything. It was a good gesture, I thought. That was until next evening, when I have taken Sao Paulo - Zurich flight. The whole night, I suffered from terrible stomach cramps and other things. It was far from being my best flight. I will never go back to this hotel or to the sushi bar.

Room Tip: I got the impression that there are no good rooms in this hotel.
