This is a good choice for Sao Paulo, not fantastic by any stretch of the imagination, but good. I stayed in one of the more basic rooms; small, basic, smallerst picture window I have ever seen in a hotel (and it was the only window). I have seen pictures of their upscale rooms which look much nicer. The staff is quite friendly and helpful, no issues there. The location is fairly close to Avenida Paulista, so if you need to be close and don't want to stay at the Ibis, but also don't want to pay a fortune, this is the choice for you...although you still probably need a taxi. There are a few good restaurants in the area; I had one of my best meals in Brazil walking out the back way to the left two or three blocks, up one block, in a little cottage-looking restaurant on the corner. Great steak! Great guarana! There are also a couple places right around the corner to have laundry done at a much lower cost than at the hotel. I would stay here again for business.
