First of all, shame on the staff at the Loxley, AL Bay Inn & Suites for even suggesting staying at this trash dump. After searching for available rooms from Gulf Shores on northward all night with no luck, we ended up in stopping in Loxley at the Bay Inn & Suites. There were no rooms available and the staff there said they had another hotel in Bay Minette. So we said OK since the Loxley hotel looked OK. We gave them our credit card info to hold the room. We drive up the road and pull up to this hotel and reluctantly check in. Health Department ratings on the office wall say 96 and 97. What a joke!! The office smelled awful. We go to the room just to find it worse than the office. Horrible smell that they tried to cover up with some kind of orange cleaner. Mold in the refrigerator, around the air conditioner unit, and in the shower. We ready to leave by this time but out of curiosity we turn down the beds to find the sheets are stained and BUGS ARE CRAWLING AROUND IN THE BED. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go to the office and tell them I want my money back that we're going home. Luckily we received a refund. Within the less than 30 minutes we were there, 2 other people had requested refunds also for the same reasons. While leaving the parking lot a couple had pulled up
to get a room. We told them what we had saw and suggested that if they could not find a room elsewhere to sleep in their vehicle and to NOT STAY AT THIS DISGUSTING, TRASHY ROACH MOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wished I had photos to show everyone!!!!

Nice location good rooms and rates close to stores and food. Staff was extremly friendly and helpful. the manger went out of his way to make our stay a pleasure.

This is definitely a 1 star motel. The price should be about 25 per night, not 70+.
There were no towels in the bathroom, but we did have a washcloth....
We were going to stay 3 nights, but after the first night, I reduced it to 2. Of course, they had already charged my card before I checked out and now I'm having to call and see why I haven't seen the credit after 2 weeks... Wish me luck.
