Close to the international airport which makes it convenient for layovers.
10 min away from one of the biggest shopping centres in Sao Paulo, the "Shopping Internacional" (Pay around R$ 15 /USD 7 for the cab).
Close to the hotel you find a big supermarket (Extra) and close to this you find a nice Italian Cantina called Mamma Mia.

If you dont mind taking a bus, it is a 45min ride from the Tiete Subway station in Sao Paulo: From this point you can stop over hundreds of stations covering the most important points of this huge capital like Paulista Avenue (Avenida Paulista - Paraiso Station), The Pacaembu stadium (Marechal Deodoro Station), Ibirapuera Park (Brigadeiro Station) and Mercado Municipal (Luz Station).
Different than other IBIS around the world, this one is always packed on weekends so make sure your reservation is made in advance.

The services from the hotel's restaurant only work at night (except breakfast) and yet they are bad. There are a few waiters and the treatment was not good. My son ate a sandwich burnt. Finally, was not a good experience.

I'd like to complain about 2 issues during our short stay at the Ibis Hotel in Guarulhos:
- There were no towels on our bedroom
- We left our luggage in our bedroom while we went to pick up a rented car. When we came back we were charged parking fee even if we just went back to our bedroom to pick up the luggage. It took us less than 2 minutes and we were charged around R$7! We've tried to explain to the staff but they didn't want, or couldn't, help.
