“Expensive, noisy and too simple”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2011

Stayed at the Hotel Vitoria Campinas for 2 nights and found the hotel to be expensive for the value that it offers.
There is construction on site as the hotel is expanding so you get a lot of noise since early morning, even on weekend days.
The rooms are large enough but the bed is too hard and low for my taste.
The bathroom is very small with no room even for towels and toiletries; the shower runs to every possible direction except they one you want...there is a lot of room for improvement here.
There are two great restaurants at the hotel, one Italian and one Japanese.
The breakfast buffet is free but it is very small with few options.
The gym is almost a joke with only 1 treadmill working at times.
The wifi is free but it breaks down at times which is annoying.
When asked if they they could hold my luggage for a couple of hours after check-out, they declined arguing something about laptop safety...
Unfortunately, Campinas does not offer many choices for business travelers but next time I am in the area, I will definitely try a different place.

“Excellent stay place for weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

We were booked into Hotel Vitoria by our travel agent. On welcome we received welcome drink with a smile from the staff members which continued for the entire stay.
The spread of breakfast was good atleast for a vegetarian person like me.

“Very Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2009

90 minute drive from GRU. Hotel on busy street with Mc Donalds on one end and Pizza Hut on the other (all .25 miles away). Large room, TV with lots of english speaking channels. No coffee maker or microwave in room but does have a frig with beverages. Good free breakfast (6-10 am). Wifi is slow (poor signal).

Only issue I had was pulling key card (in for lights) with TV on, needs to reboot TV transmitter before you can resume TV operation. Turn-off TV before pulling key card!

“Clean and comfortable!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2008

Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and professional; they speak english well enough but with some you will have to speak slowly or ask another staff to assist you.
The rooms are moderate size and quiet. No carpets, all hard floors; mine had hardwood (parquet) and tile. Bathroom has a large tile/glassed in shower. High Def 31" TV but basic signal so while there were lots of stations (4 or 5 in english) the picture was poor. Bonus, the room had a fridge and small sink.
The breakfast that's included is VERY good with fresh local fruit, yogurt drinks, the BEST coffee, fresh omlettes, and tons of fresh breads (often with cheese inside). Exercise room is large and very well equipped; small lap pool. The restaurants on site are good; one Italian and one Japanese. There's a small bakery around the corner with excellent selection of wines, beers, breads and pastries and some fresh fruit. Other restaurants are within easy walking distance.

“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2007

Vitoria is a great, modern hotel. I have stayed there on numerous occasions over several years. Friendly multi-lingual staff greet you whenever you pass the reception area. The rooms are light and spacious, with wooden floors (note this can be a little noisy when chairs scrape on the floor above). High-speed internet is fast and secure. There is an American Airlines sales/ticketing office attached to the lobby which could be useful.

Two great restaurants. My favourite is 'Kindai', the Japanese restaurant which has excellent sushi, sushimi, etc. The Italian restaurant is also very good, although a little pricey (for Brasil) . Room service food is efficient and well priced.

The gym is one of the best hotel gym I have seen almost anywhere in the world, and the lap pool comes right into the gym.

Request a room at the front side of the hotel which has better all-day light and views.
