Don't know why I pay more for a good hotel in Campinas, than a similar in São Paulo. However, given that, I've found that Mercure Campinas is a good, balanced option for my stays.

Very quick check-in/ check-out is quite good for my needs, fast retrieval of the parked car is also a high. The hotel is centrally located, right next to Ibis. I can quickly go to most places I need.

Shower is great and this Mercure is considerably newer and better, in several aspects, than other older Mercure hotels I have stayed in São Paulo.

Food is also very good, restaurante is pleasant. I'd only like that the price could be a little better.

Overall: I can stay here anytime. No complains.

I spent 3 days at the Mercure Campinas hotel on business. The hotel is located in the Centro district. I was traveling with a Brazilian colleague so there was no language problem. Most employees I did interface with spoke English well enough to understand. We would walk to work the 3 days we were there and left the car in the garage. The hotel looks pretty new and the room I stayed in was nice and clean. The room had free Internet, a safe and minibar. The air conditioning worked well and outside noises was minimal. The only downside would be the bed. It was not as firm as I like and felt it needs to be replaced. A breakfast buffet was included with the rate and it was a good hearty breakfast. Lots of choices. In the evening, they also had a dinner buffet for about 27 Reals. Other than the soft bed, I thought this was a good place to stay.

I stayed ther for aprox 30 days and found the staff very helpful and courtes, ther was always some one behind the desk that could speak english as I was limited on my portugeese. They have all the bell ringers and whisles that one could ask for. I checked out only because I was tired of the same room and the windows did not open for some fresh air.

I give the hotel and staff above average marks and would stay there again if I was in town.
