I stayed at the Vitoria Newport Residence during a one month assignment to Campinas for work along with 15 of my colleagues.
The rooms are spacious with a living area and bedroom seperately. Ceiling fans are in both rooms and air conditioning also in the bedroom. The bathroom is pretty small but still has all you need. The rooms have a kitchenette with a very strange portable gas cooker with gas bottle sitting on the bench. It looked very odd to me and I would not trust using it in the room but others did. The rooms also have complimentary WiFi.
Breakfast was included in our room rate and the buffet breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, cereal, toast, cakes, ham, cheese and a selection of 2 cooked items each day. I also had room service a couple of nights and the food was very good. The helpings were large. The staff at the bar were very friendly and also gave us complimentary cachaca.
The rooftop BBQ area is great and we had a couple of group BBQs up there. The staff were very helpful in arranging this for us providing us with plates and cutlery and also olive oil as we asked for it.
The pool is very small and is more of a plunge pool and the gym is not good at all.
The location was perfect for us. It is very close to a laundromat, supermarket, hippie market on the weekend, bus station, restaurants and bars.
When I return to Campinas I will be sure to stay there.
