I stayed her together with my wife and my parents. A very nice pousada in a quiet part of Floripa. The owner KLaus is very friendly and helpful in guiding you through the places where to go to. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Perfect hot shower!
My parents occupied the room with the BBQ place, a nice option. The ´linving room´ gives you a nice option to relax, read, pool or do some table games.
Great breakfast with deliicious self made bread and juices!

It had good reviews on this website and chose to stay there with my wife for four days. Close to the airport and better yet away from all of the tour bus traffic on the north of the Island. I would rent a car as this location is a little further away from the populated areas..... and get a GPS with the rental or take your own. The rooms are clean and comfortable... and yes the breakfast is great. Klaus the owner was great giving us help with our day trips on the Island. Overall really a best bet!

Klaus, the owner, is very friendly. The breakfast is extraordinary, with homemade cereal bars, cakes, and breads and a large selection of fresh juices, cheeses, meats, and cereals. Rooms are clean and big and have nice comforters and pillows but otherwise don't have a lot of charm. Bathroom is nothing special, but the showers have lots of hot water. The common room in the pousada is really nice, with comfy couches and lots of DVDs. Beach by the pousada is not great, but several beautiful beaches are within walking distance.

Pousada Penareia is a beautiful B&B right on the beach. The breakfast is the most amazing breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. There are homemade cakes and breads, fresh squeezed juice, fruit, yogurt, granola, meats, cheese, waffles etc. It is so impressive and delicious. Klaus (the owner) was helpful with providing tips about where to go on the island for dinner and which beaches are the best. We walked the beach right in front of the Pousada but spent the most time on the Matadiero beach (about a 20 minute walk). The rooms are very comfortable and well-maintained. I highly recommend this Pousada Penareia!
