I am an American who lives in Argentina married to an Argentine. For those who understand and know Brazil, this pousada is very non-Brazilian for being in Brazil. It is more European than Brazilian that is to say...Klaus, the owner, is Austrian-Brazilian and it shows in the details of his pousada. We love Brazil and the European touch makes this place a bit classier than the typical Brazilian pousadas. The service is very good, Klaus is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very good breakfast bar which is included in the rate. Armacao beach is more isolated than the other beaches in the northern part of Floripa, but it is the ideal place for those who don't want the hussle and bussle of the common beaches. You need a rental car in order to get around the island. We recommend this hotel.
