“great location & excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2011

This hotel is located on Pipa's main attraction road and 2 minutes walk from Pipa's restaurants, shops and bars. The hotel has view to the beach although you have to leave the hotel and go to the main road before finding the access to the main beach. This because the beach over which the hotel sits is the dolphins favourite spot and therefore protected. You can actually only access it by boat or when is low tide. I definitely recommend to try the great restaurant of the hotel, specially the delicious warm gateau with ice cream.

“Excellent resort - highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2010

What an amazing resort! We loved staying @ Pipa Ocean View & have been missing Pipa ever since we got home! :)

We stayed in an amazing Deluxe suite (39m2) with a bedroom, kitchen/livingroom, a bathroom pluss an extra restroom. The furniture was very trendy and since the apt was on the first floor there was also a huge terrace (the apts on the 2nd & 3rd floor have nice balconies). Once we crossed the garden we could see the amazing view of Dolphin Bay.
The apt was so comfy and nice it made it hard for us to leave! The apt was very clean, the housekeeping did a great job and the staff was exeptionally friendly.

The breakfast was good and served in the restaurtant next to the pool. The pool was large and had a poolbar, but because of the many amazing beaches nearby we never got to try it out. Next time! :)

Pipa is such a lovely little place. I highly recommend visiting as many of the nearby beaches as you can. They are so beautiful and most of the time you're almost alone. The most popular beaches are usually crowded, but def worth a visit like Praia do Amor & Praia do Centro. I highly recommend a trip to Madeiro Beach where you can swim with wild dolphins! We also did a dolphin boat trip from Praia do Centro to Madeiro which allowed us to see the dolphins more up close, but it was certainly a rush to swim with them as they played in the waves! Make sure you also walk from Praia do Centro to Dolphin Bay at low tide.

Be sure to check out Pipa Beach Club with good food & drinks right on the boardwalk by the beach! If you want some excellent italian pizza made by an italian chef, go check out the charming little restaurant in town on the first steep "hill" on the right as you walk into town from Pipa Ocean View. It's called 'D'all italia' something. Amazing and very nice owner!

Happy travelling!

“Excelent Location - Amazing Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2009

I've stayed at this hotel during a week in April 2007.

The hotel is brand new, and its almost inside the pipa's traditional village. The hotel has 3 pools, and a magnificent ocean view.

The staff were amazing and all our need were satisfied.

I booked the hotel in a Flight+hotel package in a Portuguese Travel Agency, and i was expecting that the Hotel was not so good... it was cheaper than other Hotels that i already know in Pipa. Buit no, the hotel has the same standarts of other Hotels, and is very well located.

We can go to the excellent restaurants in Pipa by walking (just 200mts from the centre)

Very nice hotel for relaxing!

not a luxurious Hotel, nor a giant resort like the ones in Varadero ou Riviera Maya.

since the restaurants in Pipa are wonderfull and they're nearby i've never eated in the Hotel besides the breakfast that was very nice!

“Honeymoon there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2008

I spent my honeymoon there for 15 days.
Simply put, the hotel is worth the money. Patricia rules it and she speaks both Spanish and English. Very professional, frendly and correct. And so she has educated her crew. No complaint at all can be done. Opposite I would say.

Among employees, Max is the man to help there, although all of them are very nice so far.

If you go there remember some things:

-Not bargaining is almost showing you are easy to steal from... be smart on that. They will know when they cannot do you a better price. Do not push them too far though... Brazilians are very easygoing people, polite, nice... if you don´t show yourself stuckup you will find friends in Pipa for sure.

-Be careful with stealing & drugs in Pipa. They do have crack there. Be careful with going to private parties and certain bars. Other than that, which happens to people looking for trouble, it nevers happens anything bad in town.

-Buses to Pipa (5 minutes walk) are free (vans with a figure of a dolphin in the front) but to go surfing to Praia Madero (the best beach around) cost 1,25 reales. Buses pass every 15 minutes.

-Surfing in Praia Madero is nice if you wake up EARLY. At 7 or eight is great. Go to Eco Surf school, which is 200 meters from the bar of the hotel up in the hill. Right close to BAr do Jegue. Ask for Luis or Roberto. Tell them Ferni greats them. They have got new longboards and speak several languages. Great people.
NOBODY can arrange you trips to the lagoons or anywhere better than them. Trust me, I know what I say. But if you want to go with another guy, as for "el Galego" at " bar at Pipa´s beach. they do "gastronomical trips" that you wont forget easily.

-The bugui trip is great with the guy at the hotel (you will meet him, do not worry. He is father of 3 children and will do enaything

-When a guy offers you to go to a restaurant: he is taking you there and earning a tip from the restaurant that will be summed up to your bill. Remember that...

Enough for today. The hotel is indeed very nice and quiet. Not the vulgar Punta Cana stuff.

Gonna love it.
