On the last morning of our stay we woke up to a nightmare: we had to leave. So we strolled up to reception and asked to extend another night. It was just delaying the inevitable, but it was a little like hitting the snooze alarm. Just a few more minutes of dreaming. The good news is we'd been to Pipa before, so we didn't feel too guilty about just lounging around the pools sipping on coconuts at all hours of the day. They make it tough to leave. The drinks are fresh, the service is friendly and professional, and the grounds are eco-gorgeous. Breakfast is something of a feast, with everything fresh and beautiful and perfect. The restaurant has an excellent reputation in a town not lacking in good food (if you venture out, try the Italian place called Dall'italiano or the tapas place called Tapas), and the quality and presentation reflect this. But really the appeal of this pousada is just the casual luxury of everything. They do everything right without seeming like they're trying to hard. We can't wait to come back.
