There are some things that brazilians are proud. Soccer, our climate, the kindness of our people, but above this all, the wonderfull beaches with white sands and saphire warm sea. And, Natal is one of the best options if you ever want to know what is the best in Brazil about beaches.
The welcome in Manary starts with coconut water and nuts in the reception. The atmosfere of the hotel is nice and cozy, and the best, you are just a few steps of a wonderful beach with blue tints and warm water. And also, you are in Ponta Negra beach, where you can walk in nightlife and go to very nice places like pubs and good restaurants of seafood.
I think that the beds in the standard rooms are a little too small, but it's a small problem compared with the good shower, protection for moskitos in the windows, ar conditioner, swimming pool with sea view and the terapeutical massage availuable. The restaurant also is very good.
It's a lot of fun adventure in the north coast with a buggy, driving above the dunes of golden sand and arriving in beautiful and unexplored or amazing beaches, like Genipabu and Pipa. You can ask for the Buggy Guide Marcelo in the reception, he is friendly and can provide a very good one day trip! Maracajaú to swim near the corals and see fishes is also very nice. Avoid the trip to Galinhos, it's not so fun and too expensive for what it provides.

My husband and I stayed from 18 to 20 February 2011 in Manary Hotel in Natal. We enjoyed the location and the common areas (the breakfast area and the area overlooking the sea). We did not like our standard room (side view) as it was quite dark and there was a musty smell.The pool is really small. Good breakfast. If you choose to stay at the hotel ask for a sea view room (if you can afford!).

Really lovely hotel - perfect for a complete chill out. The rooms are spacious, yet have a really cosy feel about them. The pool area is gorgeous, and the whole hotel is decorated beautifully and set in lovely gardens. It's right by the beach, and they provide sunbeds, and it's also really easy to book trips through the hotel (they sorted a buggy ride day for us). All in all - just a brilliant hotel.

We normally arrive in Brazil via Recife but this time we decided to arrive in Natal. Recife is not very nice at all but Natal is a much better place to start a visit to the Northeast of Brazil. The hotel is about 30minutes drive from the airport. The airport is very small and there are often long delays at immigration so it is good that the hotel is well located. Reception is very relaxed - you can complete the forms in your room. The rooms are reasonably good by Brazil standards. It takes a while to get used to the sound of the waves at night if you are in a beach front room. The restaurant is lovely with a good range of food. I had a fantastic massage - probably the most relaxing ever. One of the bedrooms has been converted into a relaxing massage room. The hotel is located on a pleasant (surfing) beach and you can walk along the beach to reach different restaurants. The best restaurants and good shopping are accessible by car/taxi. The staff are very friendly at the hotel and I have given the hotel 5 stars for the friendly staff, excellent massage and friendly restaurant. This is a very charming small hotel and we hope to return next year.
