My husband and I stayed at this hotel for six nights and enjoyed our stay very much. I think our room had the very best view of any in the hotel--a corner room with a balcony that overlooked the pool and faced the ocean. We arrived very late at night (around 12:30 a.m.) and were pleasantly surprised by our great view when we woke up in the morning. Each person we met at the front desk was efficient and friendly, as were all of the other staff that we dealt with. We're not the typical tourists, so we weren't looking for things to do in the area other than relaxing on the beach the whole time. However, if we had been looking to the hotel for suggestions about sightseeing, we would have been disappointed. Other than arranging a dune buggy ride (which we do regret not doing), the reception desk doesn't seem to have many suggestions. This may have been partly due to the language difference, however. I'm mentioning it only because we probably would have researched the area a little more thoroughly before our visit if we had known this.
This is a very relaxed hotel, which made our visit stress free. We didn't run into very many people in Natal who were fluent in English, but everyone was so friendly and helpful that the language difference was hardly a barrier. The hotel is extremely reasonably priced, as well as the food, drinks, minibar, Internet, and laundry service. The only issue we ran into was that the double bed in our room was actually two twins pushed together, which would have been less of an issue except that the sheets were also twin-sized, which resulted in a tangle of sheets every morning. I will probably bring a large flat sheet with me if I return to this hotel, which I do hope to do someday.
