We chose this hotel in natal after hours of internet research and were delighted with it. Having two kids, we have decided that the large five star hotels can actually involve more hassle for us, as everything is so far apart. In a little (10 bedroom) place like this, bedrooms, lounge and pool are all so close that the kids can move around freely and independently but still near us. This worked very well here.
So, on to the place. The facilities are simple but more than adequate for most needs. Nice pool, overlooked by the lounge/dining room, which has a computer (and wireless internet for your laptop if you bring it). Rooms might seem a little bare by European standards, but they are clean and functional, with comfy beds, ceiling fans and air con. Many have balconies with lovely hammocks. It's really just a b&b, but if you ask, they will do a great Brazilian home-cooking style lunch of fish or meat, rice, beans, pasta and salad. No dinner, but plenty of interesting places to explore along the beach.
The staff are lovely - interested and helpful and can speak English. They'll advise on things like excursions, car hire, or whatever else you need - without ripping you off.
The location is good as well. Not quite on the beach, but on the street parallel just one block back.
All in all we had a relaxing few days there, and, despite looking around with interest, did not see anywhere else we would rather have stayed.
