“great place - best value in Pontanegra”

We spent 5 days in this little charming pousada, located in a quit place but near the beach and nightlife. The rooms are different in theme with names of flowers, we had Jasmine room, it was clean, confortable, with A/C TV and minibar, large bathroom and balcony with hammock. There's a little garden with the pool, in the hall you can use a free pc or wifi. Breakfast is amazing: coffee, milk, tea, juices, fruits, sweet and savory cakes homemade and sandwiches, all was good and appetizing.
Management and staff very helpful and kind, ask them whatever you need, they can speak different languages.
There is a roof top restaurant, with another different management but worth it for a good meat dinner.

Room Tip: jasmine room is the best one

“A charming and quiet place”

I've just spent my weekend at Das Flores Inn Pousada. I thought it was so cute that every room is named after a flower ("flores" is "flowers" in Portuguese).

My boyfriend and I got a simpler room, with a balcony that did not overlook the sea. The room was clean and well kept. Air conditioning worked just fine. There is a TV, albeit a small one, but as someone has observed earlier, it is a BB, so keep in mind things are simple there. The bathroom is large, with plenty of hot water. It is a quiet and peaceful place. I'd stay there again anytime.

The only thing that wasn't so nice is that they didn't clean the pool while we were there, but the beach is just one block away, so...

“Great location, well run, small and friendly!”

We chose this hotel in natal after hours of internet research and were delighted with it. Having two kids, we have decided that the large five star hotels can actually involve more hassle for us, as everything is so far apart. In a little (10 bedroom) place like this, bedrooms, lounge and pool are all so close that the kids can move around freely and independently but still near us. This worked very well here.

So, on to the place. The facilities are simple but more than adequate for most needs. Nice pool, overlooked by the lounge/dining room, which has a computer (and wireless internet for your laptop if you bring it). Rooms might seem a little bare by European standards, but they are clean and functional, with comfy beds, ceiling fans and air con. Many have balconies with lovely hammocks. It's really just a b&b, but if you ask, they will do a great Brazilian home-cooking style lunch of fish or meat, rice, beans, pasta and salad. No dinner, but plenty of interesting places to explore along the beach.

The staff are lovely - interested and helpful and can speak English. They'll advise on things like excursions, car hire, or whatever else you need - without ripping you off.

The location is good as well. Not quite on the beach, but on the street parallel just one block back.

All in all we had a relaxing few days there, and, despite looking around with interest, did not see anywhere else we would rather have stayed.

  • Liked — Samll, quiet, friendly, helpful
  • Disliked — No food available after 6 pm. Not a big problem in a b&b!
