Been there with my girlfriend. We were going to stay 4 nights. Payed in advance and all that, our biggest mistake.

First of all, the room they gave us was located almost inside the reception. A room for a couple with zero privacy.

Second of all, this is great: the room had no outside windows and the walls had FUNGUS all over it. It was hard even breathing there. The bed was also old and unconfortable.

The other rooms in the hostel were pretty much like this too. The place looks like it was very poorly improvised to be a hostel, but it has no conditions of being one.

It gets worse: the owner is an old lady who's hardly ever there. She comes by at afternoons, but not on weekends. We talked to her on a friday and asked for another room. She said she had none, and she could do nothing about "our" problem, so we started looking for another place to stay.

The next day we found one, and told the guy working there we were leaving. Since the place was obviously a complete mess and we had stayed only 2 days, we thought it was reasonable to ask for a 50% refund.

The guy said they don't do that. Yes I know hostels don't do that. But they had no conditions of even hosteling someone there. If we were to stay, they should at least provide us some breathing masks, please.

Anyway, he was only an employee there, so i wanted to talk to the owner. But she doesn't show up on weekends, so i kindly asked for a phone number that i could talk to her. Guess what: apparently she leaves no contact with them. That's HOW MUCH the owner cares about that place. In the end we decided it wasn't worth letting that ruin our trip and we just left the place.
