Where to start? oldfashioned rooms, dirty pillowcovers, noisy rooms facing a busy avenue, smell of urine in the stairs and I could go on... the worst of it all is that you pay 200USD for a room at this place! Really, try to go somewhere else, and may be you want to avoid Copacabana altogether, I personally like Ipanema better.

The location is great, the hotel is a good standard hotel. As Rio is a very expensive city, this hotel is a good budget option. The rooms space is good the furniture and decor are average. We had a plastic toilet seat. The hot water was good in the shower and the bathroooms are all tiled. They offer a good breakfast. The staff is attentive and the rooms are clean and cleaned every day.

We enjoyed our stay in this pleasant hotel, which is just two minutes walking from the beautiful Copacabana beach. Restaurants and shops are all around, bus stops as well, but the subway station is a 15 minute walk (so not far at all...). They say Rio can be unsafe, but I always felt very secure in the area of the hotel. Lovely airconditioned room, and a luxurious breakfast. It's a crowded part of Rio, so don't expect serene silence. And sometimes you need to wait a minute or two for the elevator that goes wayyy up or down... but hey, who cares, you're in Rio!

Cheap hotel considering location (very close to Copacabana). Simple rooms with older furniture, safe to keep you documents/money. Clean. Try not to get room facing back of the building-there is a big cooling/venting unit that is quite loud at night.
Friendly staff and good continental breakfast.
