Nice accomodation as you get a studio-flat rather than a room, so more space. The hotel is only 150m away from Copacabana beach so location is very good. Very clean and friendly people which helped our first few days in Rio. As Rio prices go, it offers very good value for money if you want to stay next to the beach. Good breakfast too!

This hotel was really a nice surprise for me: with large rooms, you can really feel at home; helpful and friendly personal and very good located (just two blocks to the beach). It is close to a metro station and there are some restaurants nearby as well. Depending on the room and specially during weekends, it might get a little bit noisy. But anyway I would definetly look for it in a next trip to Rio.

I spent the weekend at the Copacabana Princess. I used a reservation service you can find on the web -- the rate was R$242 plus tax incl bkft -- I made the reservation after arriving at the airport and went right to the hotel.

The suite was large; with a long room with kitchen area, small dining table and sitting room and veranda; a large, surprisingly uncomfortable bed in the otherwise comfortable bedroom (with window unit A/C); and a clean, modern bathroom.

Breakfast was served until 11am and was very good. There is a gym and pool that I didn't have time to use -- both looked inviting.

There is a safe in the room with a key lock -- much less convenient than a combination lock (who wants to carry a key around ?).

The desk staff were consistently polite and helpful and let me check out late on Sunday. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from the beach and I felt safe in the area.

Really the only thing that was below standard was the bed. I think maybe they pushed two twins together and bridged them in an uncomfortable way.

This hotel had big and clean rooms and friendly staff that spoke English. The breakfast was good and included. It was located in the heart of Copacobana and I could practically fall out the door to the beach. 2 short blocks from beach. The subway was one short block away. There was a pool. There was no concierge, but the desk staff were helpful in finding things. This is an "apart" hotel which means the rooms have a kitchen and living room as well as a big bedroom. Overall, it was good for the price, and I paid 150USD per night during Carnival.
The area around the hotel felt very safe to me and even in the wee hours of the morning I had no concern for my safety.
