we checked in 2 hours ago and have already had these problems..an extra $150 per night was paid for an ocean view room. if you lean out the window you might see the ocean. The reception staff were rude and unpleasant. Not only is internet access 160 reais, this is for only one item. If you have a laptop and ipad you pay double.
Breakfast buffet was $50 per person and had a large seletion but nothing was really fresh. We were there at 7 am and it felt like the food had been left out overnight.

I loved the atmosphere of this place, very welcoming and generous staff. Not pretentious like some of the folk at the Copa. I stayed for pleasure while my friend was there for business. The pool was nice and views were excellent. Loved the room service, very quick. This hotel made me appreciate the arts scene in Rio even more. I heard this was the "other 5 star hotel" which I wasn't sure of because I was just too happy to be on the beach chillin' with great service.

If you are like me and looking for a hotel at U.S. standards, you will be challenged in Rio de Janeiro. I have stayed in 4 seperate hotels over 4 trips and Caesar Park is by far the best. Others at the same price should be priced at 1/3 their rate.

Hotel highlights: Clean and modern rooms. Hotel is located directly on the beach. I strongly suggest that paying up for the beach view is worth it. The hotel takes a section of beach for guests and provides both chairs and towels. Did I mention that the hotel is on the beach?! Breakfast, while expensive, does include an Omelet bar. In the 8 or so hotels that I have stayed in while in Brazil, this is the first with the omelet bar and is a welcome sight.

Worth the stay, location greatly enhance my vacation!

Stayed for business visit. I have previously stayed in Windsor Atlantic, Windsor Excelsior and Porto Bay, all in Copacabana. First time in Ipanema but I've loved it. Quieter and nicer than Copacabana. Hotel is in great location right on the beach with free towels and sun beds available. Very pleased with the large room (standard - not any special room). Good size room in good repair with nice bathroom with bath/shower and not tired as many otherhotels in Rio. Breakfast is excellent in the restaurant on the roof next to the standard small pool and small sun area (this is not Olympic pool and acres of sun beds - 8 or so tables to sit out and 6 or so sun beds around a small pool - but then you are across the road from one of the loveliest beaches in the world! Staff very friendly and helpful. Although not as new as the Windsor Atlantica it is much nicer with some character. This is now my hotel of choice in Rio.
