Abracadabra is a great boutique hotel, which has a terrace with a stunning view . The hotel is very peaceful and very quiet, and I feel best for couples. I really would not recommend coming here with children or if looking for a lively atmosphere at all, not the kind of place.
Our room was very high quality, with an excellent bed/pillows and rain shower. The service from the staff was excellent, most of whom speak excellent English (which is rare for the area). The barman was very friendly and always on hand with an excellent caipirinha or Bohemia beer. Wireless internet was free, although very slow. Breakfast was good, not fantastic.
Providing your priorities in a hotel are location, quiet, and beauty I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. Slightly expensive, but not in the context of Brazil - for example I found it to be much better value than our previous hotel (Porto Bay Internacional, RJ).
Quick word on Buzios itself, it's quite a developed resort town - thankfully no block towers yet, so still quite charming in atmosphere, although the main town gets a little rowdy at night. Very scenic throughout and lots of beaches, but not much to do/see besides the the usual boat/diving trips. Great for a 3 night stay I'd say to unwind after Rio...
