I've just come back from Buzios. It is an amazing place and I believe this posada has the best view of the town. It is right across the Joao Fernandes beach and the pool is fabulous, always at the right temperature.
However, it is not perfect. Here are some of the negative aspects I've found: breakfast is served from 8.30 to 10.30-ish. You're on vacations and don't want to worry about anything, so when you arrive for breakfast at 10 and there's no more coffee, it is annoying. Also, the different tours start at 9, so you have no time to have breakfast, cause they're not usually on time either.
They don't provide towels for the beach, only for the pool. I asked for a wake-up call and told me as a joke that maybe I should stay awake all night to be safe. Thank god I set my cell phone alarm clock cause they forgot to call me.
They're terribly slow to serve food, whethere it's by the pool or in your room, and that's probably because there's only one person working as a waiter and bellboy at the same time...So, the management is not that good at all.
However their staff is very friendly, always with a smile, trying to make up for their flaws.
