“Nice Hotel, Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

The Hotel itself has quite brand new rooms, very confortable, has carpet in the floor but extremely well cleaned (the most cleaned I could find in Brazil!!!). The bed is big and comfortable (indefferent in being single or double). The room is spacious, but the desk could be bigger or better positioned (for whose depending on working in the room). Room is very well cleaned. Acoustics is fine, but the rooms located in from of Av. Sete de Setembro tend to be more noisy, in the other hand, the opposite rooms stay in the afternoon sun, so it can be very hot in summer days and the main problem here is that the Air Conditioning is the window type, which is old fashioned and very noisy to saty on all the night (worst of the Hotel is this)...

The room has flat - cable - TV with good channels and, in winter, you may need to waith some seconds up to 2 minutos untill the shower gets hot (I think the heating system can not handle the hotel when it is full).

The facilities of the Hotel are quite good also. GYM is almost useless: few and old equipment. Pool is not heated, so you problably will use it only in summer. Front Desk team is very simpatic and helpful (the hotel charges 10% of service). The lobby is new and charming and several services are charged separately (like sauna and parking). But I may say that the breakfest is the better feature of the Hotel, fresh fruits and juices, carbs and integral foods as well eggs and bacon.

The Hotel is located right in the main entrance of Curitiba, with really access to the most important interesting points of the city (business and leisure included). It stays about 4-5 blocks from "Rua das Flores" and "Praça Tiradentes" (ground zero of Curitiba) and from there you can acces the historic centre and its sunday's fair by foot. It is one block from Estação Mall, were you can get the Touristic Bus Line (USD 13.00 for 5 entrances) or the Airport Bus Shuttle (USD 5.00). Also, it has bus stops right in the front were you get easily ans safely to other nice districts, such as Batel and Agua Verde (veru green and with some of the best restaurants in town).

Depending on the dates, you also can get very good value from money DSAs when compared to other Hotels in the city...

“Good location for the Estacao shopping mall and Convention Centre.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

I stayed here for a conference at the Estacao Convention Centre. The hotel is set over 10+ floors and is well located for the airport (20 minutes by taxi) and convention centre (5 minutes by foot).

During my stay there were a couple of power cuts and the wireless Internet access was unreliable, despite reassurances that it was being fixed. Wired Internet access was available in the room but it meant having to use my laptop rather than iPad or iPhone.

The front desk was a bit slow with requests, like printing off documents. The two aging computers in the lobby were unreliable.

However, the rooms were comfortable with plenty space and breakfast was more than adequate.

The surrounding area isn't too exciting but it's proximity to the convention centre is what makes it.
