First, by EU and North American standards its not a five star hotel. None the less what is most important is the staff believes it is and largely strives to live up to it. Upon arriving the bell staff was immediately available and the check in was quick. The young man behind the counter spoke English, and was professional. The room, a lower class of room had an LCD television, and a comfortable bed with nice linnens. The furnishing was older, but clean. The shower was large, with great pressure and plenty of hot water. Perhaps in more deluxe rooms there is more chic furnishings but that was not important to me. The breakfast was great. Period. The lobby bar needs updating. Just a part of the Resturaunt with darker tables. What this hotel is known for is events, and has a good reputation locally for that. The room rate was approx. $150US, which was ok for a reasonable guarantee of quality after a long two weeks in rural Minas.

I stayed at this Hotel for 4 days while I was on Business in Belo. I choose the this hotel because of the location close to the airport and close to Centro. Also there is a mall across the the street from this Hotel, so I would have different food options.

The Receptionist and most of the staff spoke English

I dont have anything bad to say about the hotel it is just a little dated and for the room rate there are better options in Savassi.

Super food and service. Especially the buffet breakfast. Loved it. Friendly staff and were very welcoming. I hope to return soon.

I was in Business travel and this is one of the worst hotels to stay.
Bad service, old Installations and not functionals, expensive and if you miss to check your bill some extra charge can be added.
Aditionally my colleagues get bed bugs bites, you can see dust on the air conditioned and I need to complain 2 times to get some people to clean my room, even you can find big fungus spots in the bathroom.
Carpets full of dust and spots and you can see a beautiful grey color on the courtains that use to be white some years ago, I hope.
