It was a business + pleasure trip. My wife accompanied me for the trip.
Its Brazil, so Portuguese/Spanish will work & English will not. The staff is unfamiliar with English, so one need to the basics in Portuguese.
The hotel's location is at the very heart of the city, primary reason to chose to the hotel. Swimming pool is the top of the hotel. A very grand breakfast, good convention center. Hotel tends to get crowded during lunch time, as lots of people pour in to have lunch (they use it more like a restaurant). A minutes walk will get you to the promenade by the sea. Couple of minutes, you can reach the Costa Pereira Square & Metropolitan Cathedral. 10 minutes by road, will can reach to the beach.
