With the electric outage, it made it very difficult to enjoy my stay at this hotel. But first, I liked that the hotel clerks offered a refund upon informing us about the outage. Due to the lack of time, we decided to stay, hoping that electricity would be on within 24 hours. However, the professionalism of the staff was not up to par during this 2 days/2 nights outage. While we were entering the hotel on the second night, the staff member normally behind the desk was outside visiting with friends/family. She asked us if we were checking in, but did not care to greet us. Flashlights were offered at check-in, but we were told that they were limited. We were offered a free internet access code ($4.99 charge) since the electricity was out, but never received one. In addition, no single staff member went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible despite the electric outage. Some power outlets were working in the rooms (2 in ours) and even the hallways; staff members should have provided guests with power cords/surge outlets. It seemed as though no one was running the hotel and because of the electric outage, it was a free for all. This was my first stay ever at an Extended Stay America hotel. It may be my very last.
