We, a group of colleagues, stayed in this hotel for a football tournament. In total stayed here for 6 nights. The first 2 nights was after our arrival in Fortaleza. The first day we went with 3 to Prainha, a village next to the closed Beach Park, although the reception said it was open. Had a good time there though.
The next advice of the reception was the best they could ever give us; a 4 day trip to Jericoacoara. For only €105 per person we had 3 nights in a pousada (Rocanto do Barâo) including:
- transport by bus,
- jeep for the last 20km through the magnificent landscape of the dunes while approaching 'Jeri',
- a walk to the Jeri landmark The Arched Rock Pedra Furada, and
- on the last day a 2 hour stay at a lagoon,
- breakfast
- free internet.
The reception staff is knowledgeable, but sometimes their English can create some confusion. You'll have to be patient with them ;)
The rooms, we stayed in 1409 and 1212, are of good quality with a large bathroom and a nice shower. Buffet breakfast is good.
Despite these good points, I only gave them an average rating. Main reason for that is the location. It is not directly at the beach, you need to walk a 200m for that. Not a problem of course, but if you compare it with hotels on the Av Beira Mar you'll see why the location is not good.
Another minor point are the waiters. We had a welcome and farewell party for around 200 persons and ordering drinks was not well organised at all. They took the order, wrote it on the bill which had to be signed but when the drinks were served they wanted to bill them again....
