This is the Caesar Park property that has been rebranded with one of Sol Melia's brands. The night I stayed there, there was a noisy fashion event going on, causing considerable delays for guests at the elevators.
The non-smoking room came with a strong tobacco scent, which was coming from the curtains. Fortunately, the windows opened - so I had the sound from the event instead of tobacco smell. In general, the room looked worn, with the exception of the bathroom, which seemed to have been recently refurbished. In spite of the rooms being nicely sized, the bathrooms feel cramped. The TV was flickering, with a very poor image. The free internet option was extremely slow - forget using skype or anything requiring a little more speed/bandwidth. Better to pay - even if you want to do some basic e-mail. Given the hour, I did not complain or ask for any of the problems to be fixed, for I know that this type of request can easily turn into nightmares where one gets processed with no solution at the end.
I had dinner at the oriental restaurant on the hotel premises, which featured nice sashimi, but painstakingly slow service (there were only three other tables).
So, after not such a good night's sleep I find a very nice breakfast buffet, with plenty of fruit and a grand variety of other choices. Definitely the high point of the hotel.
Service, when requested, was very friendly and my frontdesk interactions were with efficient and helpful staff.
