Due to ill handled luggage at CDG Paris I arrived with only my computer. Sheraton did not only provide necessary toilette equipment. They took a copy of lost luggage documentation and did not give up until my bag arrived at Oran, where they picked it up and brought to the hotel and delivered up to my room. They most definitely live up to their five stars!!!
All be it for a price.
The hotel is generally nice but as it's fairly new I would expect that.
As with all big name hotels it's very expensive.
I did however find all the staff very pleasant and accommodating. I Only speak English and all the front of house staff also had at least a fair command of English. In fact those on reception spoke better English than you get at hotels in England!
The staff were always helpful but not under my feet. They were there when required.
I didn't try the pool sauna etc. etc. but a colleague did and said they were good.
Sadly when I went the outside pool etc. was closed for winter which was a shame given that the weather was quite reasonable at least for sitting outside with a drink.
All in all, nice but you do pay for it.
Sadly, I can never stay here alone :( I was told no credit card, no room. I don't use a credit card (I borrowed a collegues for this stay) so can't stay here alone. Strange from a country that has a cash culture but that's big name hotels I suppose.

Highly recommended. Oasis in the middle of the city. Nice view to the coast.
The hotel is truly stunning! amazing location with a full view of the bay and the harbour, excellent facilities with a beautiful outdoor pool and a fabulous indoor health club, a multitude of excellent restaurants and a very good discotheque as well! The staff is quite professional, though not as friendly as one would expect for a luxury hotel. I paid a very high price for it ("walk in" rate), but i believe the price is not too high.
The only negative is that the hotel is a bit far from the airport and the city center. But taxis are convenient and cheap in Oran, and the Hotel has a regular hourly shuttle to the airport as well so it doesnt matter much.
I thought the hotel was amazing and everyone that worked there was very accomodating. I however did not book through hotel websites... I booked through the sheraton page and got a great rate.. It was a lovely hotel and very amazing.. I really liked it.. I stayed there a week and every day was a nice day... I also really liked the business center
