“Not fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and the front desk help was wonderful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2009

We visited for the NHRA drag races in Kent. The front desk help was wonderful! They lookes up race info for us on line. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Not much of a continental breakfast, little muffins and oj/coffee, but enough to get they day started. Several restaurants withing walking distance and a casino across the street! Affordable and close to the race track. We will be sure to stay here again for our next trip to the races.

“Nice, clean and quiet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2005

This was an affordable motel, very clean and quiet, with lots of free food sitting around. The lobby had bowls of fruit and cookies when we checked in, and waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit, danish, yogurt, etc. for breakfast. Although the inn was about full (with Motley Crue concert-goers, no less), we did not hear any sounds on any side of us, and I am very noise-sensitive! The staff that we saw was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was a little small, but the shower was nice and hot, with decent water pressure.

Some reviewers claim this motel was dirty, and I wonder if they could have been at the same place. Everything I saw, from the lobby to the parking lot to the rooms, was spotless. (I also do not tolerate "funny smells" very well, and let me tell you, I didn't smell a single weird thing!) Be warned: there is a train track fairly nearby, although I didn't wake up once to the sound of trains.

“One to avoid”

This is one to avoid at all costs. I planned a birthday trip for my sis in March of 2005. We knew the minute we entered the lobby, it was not a good thing!!!! There were children of the person in charge screeming and crying. I asked to see the room. It was not anything like the photos. There was a sofa bed right beside the bed by the window so there was no room to move by that bed. It did not smell clean either. There was also a man yelling at someone down the hall from the room. We also noticed as we got back into our car that there was a second story window broken out and just boarded up. Looked very classy!!!!! I was also refused a refund of the charges to my credit card.

“Avoid this one!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2004

My wife and I spent the night of Feb 21, 2004 at this place. As soon as you enter the lobby to check in you are overwhelmed by the smell of curry. The place is dirty and the rooms have a funny undescribeable odor to them. The widows were dirty and were the curtains. Wouldn't even consider taking a shower in the bathroom. The only reason we stayed is because of the 24 hour cancellation rule. We would've had to pay for the room even if we decided not to stay there. Also, be aware that the street behind Nendels is used for drag racing 12am-3am. We even had people right outside our window cheering on the racers. I am writting Nendels Corporate office for a full refund. Avoid this place at all costs unless you like Indian cooking.
