A friend booked this motel, paid in advance, couldn't go. She was able to change it to my name, so I got it for free. After reading the reviews, I doubt I would've booked here. HOWEVER, this is a decent budget motel!
The room was average size, clean, with a fridge and microwave. If it was supposed to be a suite, I wouldn't call our room one. It had 2 Q beds. We both found the bed to be comfortable. We heard the train, but there was no whistle, and the rumbling didn't wake us up. We were 5 rooms away from the end, and maybe closer to the tracks would be too loud. I had read to request a room away from the tracks.
The towels are smallish, typical budget type quality. The free breakfast was simple, waffles, Danish, small muffins, bread and English muffins to toast, plus cereal, milk, juice, oatmeal packets, and bananas. They had free wi-fi, which was a bit slow.
The staff was frindly and helpful. It is your typical budget motel, but clean and decent. When looking, I had found cheaper places with decent reviews, but in a nearby town. Had I not got this one for free, I would've chose a different one. Would I go back to this one? Yes, if the price was right!

We stayed 3 nights here, and the we got what we paid for. Cheap hotel, for a cheap price. Everything was mostly clean, and the hotel itself was in a good location to see other things. The beds were not that comfortable, and the walls are not soundproofed, and therefore you can hear your neighbors. Auburn is a neat city, and I would stay there again, but I would probably go elsewhere.
However, this would not be a bad place to stay for a short stay, or for someone on an extremely economical budget.

Hotel was just OK. Nothing special, especially for the price. Good for a single person looking to stay 1 night only. The first room they tried putting us in was horrible. We had to be put into a pet room because we had brought our 2 small dogs. When we walked in and there was an awful oder. Not even really the smell of pets or pee just an awful oder liked they had tried covering up a pee smell or something. We did ask to be moved to another room and they did without hesitation. Second room was fine, again nothing special. Then when we were leaving there was a couple in the parking lot in their car fighting, being very loud. Nothing was done, they just continued to argue and yell.

I just came back from spending ONE miserable night at this motel. The property was clean and well run. The front desk agent was friendly and helpful, my room was ready and all amenities were OK but…..The trains were a “NIGHTMARE” I couldn't sleep and I tried and tried…All in vain.
I felt like I was in the movie “My cousin Vinnie” and wanted it to stop but it did not! If you are a light sleeper or need to be up early for a meeting and/or along trip driving I would try somewhere else.
I will NOT be back.
