“Awesome Place for your Special Wedding!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

First off, the Hotel itself is something to see, it has a special character all its own and a nice relaxed atmosphere, which makes you feel like you are in a different place. We had our daughter's wedding and reception there this last December. The Event and Catering Manager Rene who helped us with coordinating everything was just wonderful! Rene worked with us very closely from the initial wedding planning, catering and facility preparation up until the wedding day, always keeping in touch and ensuring everything was on track . We were very pleased with the food selection, quality and pricing for the reception. On the wedding day, the Majestic staff was professional, attentive, courteous, and overall everything surpassed our expectations. The reception went smoothly and the Majestic Chef prepared the food perfectly with a very nice presentation. We would not hesitate to have another wedding there in the future and highly recommend the Majestic for your special wedding. It is a great place, and the name Majestic fits the overall quality and the experience you would expect. Thank you again Rene and the Majestic staff for all your help..... our daughters wedding was a wonderful experience and great memory.

“Best of the Best”

This Inn is fantastically located! We stayed in room 408. It was unique, quaint, and a nice change from the regualr old hotel rooms. All updated, fresh and clean but with so much charm. King size bed was firm but comfortable. Excellent price for such boutique finishes. The continental breakfast is very light so if you eat hardy large meals early do expect to be stuffed. We don't like large breakfast so it was just right.
The Bistro restaurant has a great bar. I say great because the drinks are not watered, the prices were outstanding (check out the two for $25.00 three course meal) and the fish tacos were the best we have ever had! We come from San Antonio (land of the taco) so it was a hard comparison. Chef Rob was amazing, congenial and obviously cares about the quality of his food. We arrived during happy hour 4-6, ordered two appetizers, the two for $25.00 deal, each had a premium cocktail and our total bill was less than $55.00!
There are three pubs/bars across the street and we heard nothing in our room. The previous posts mentioning earplugs and noise might have been misleading since the warmer summer months you might have your windows open. In the summer they Inn has hosted live music in the outside garden. I would have enjoyed that. Great wedding possibilites here with the grounds, gazebo and spa. Oh the spa! OOh lala! My husband and I used the eucalyptus steam room before our hour long massage choices. We were so catered to the entire time, we felt like the staff were friends. I guess, I can't say enough good things about the Majestic. If you really are fussy and a bit hard to please, reserve the suite on the top floor. It is romantic, good food, easy access to movie theater, pubs, antique shops, and other restaurants. What a wonderful anniversary trip this was. Marisa was a gem. Thank you Majestic.

“Fantastic location for a business retreat”

I work for a small company (5 employees) and we used the majestic for a two day retreat. We rented a suite on the fifth floor to use as our meeting room. It was perfect for our purposes. Comfortable with everything we needed. We were able to borrow a folding table and some tripods for display from the hotel. The hotel restaurant prepared us a custom meal for our lunch and delivered it to the room. It was delicious. We have quite a few food sensitivities in our group and the restaurant seemed to have no trouble catering to them. After our meetings the first day a few of us met for drinks in the bar downstairs. Prices were great, the staff was friendly and it had excellent atmosphere.
My room was on the fourth floor. It was absolutely wonderful. With an entire wall of windows that had shutters that I could open to let the lovely view of Commercial. The staff provided me with a packet of fresh ground coffee and my room had a french press. My room had a lot of character and was clean and comfy – a perfect mix. I spent the morning in a comfy chair in front of my wall of windows with my delicious cup of coffee. Very cozy.
We held our meetings the next day in the breakfast room so that we could take advantage of the continental breakfast – pastries, fruit, coffee, tea, yogurt and cereals. The front desk attendant – Darcy (who was absolutely helpful, friendly and professional the entire visit) came in to turn on fire place for us.
The second afternoon we visited the spa. The spa staff is wonderful. The facility is beautiful. Each of us were beyond pleased with the service we received. It was the ultimate in pampering.
I would (and will) recommend the Majestic Inn and Spa to anyone and everyone. The staff is made up of lovely people. The hotel is wonderful. I only wish I had more occasions to stay!
Also - the next morning my car battery was dead. Before I could even look for help, one of the employees appeared and jumped my car. I can not say enough good things about this hotel's staff - they were all awesome.

My husband and I enjoy coming here in the Springtime. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and it is well worth spending the money for a corner room! Loved the hotels ambiance, and the restaurant has great food.

Room Tip: Get a corner suite!

Springtime in Anacortes is a great time for a Northwest getaway! The corner-view rooms boast some of the best views of the beautiful San Juan Islands or breathtaking Mt. Baker. Thank you, and hopefully we’ll have the pleasure to see you soon.

“Christmas Eve”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

We arrived at 5:30pm to a smiling front desk clerk. Yes they had our reservation and gave us a bag of freshly ground coffee for the french press in our room. A few minutes later we were in the elevator going up to out room 401. We requested a wheelchair accessible room. Trying to get the chair through the door was hard. If the chair would have been .5 inch wider it would not have fit. The room was pleasant enough. Clean and enough room to get the chair around in. I thought since it was a holiday, they might have done something nice for the room... maybe a little surprise for the guests or even a few decorations but there was nothing. It looked as though they were still working on updates in the room. The ceiling crown molding wasnt finished. The bathroom had no place to set our toiletry items. It would have been nice to have a shower chair in the tub area (no shower for my husband since he cant stand.) and another thing I thought was odd was that there were not any tissues in the room.
I told them when I made my reservations that this was a surprise for my husband due to him having a stroke a few weeks back and was wanting to spoil him, I personally didnt think this was it.
I took him to the restaurant for dinner and even though the food was good, the service was a little lacking. Also, we had to sit in the lounge since the dining room has a step down which doesnt work well with a wheelchair.
Just an after thought, while I was checking in, I mentioned that I had to bring my husband to the room and come back for my bags since I couldnt do it all at once, not one of the three people behind the desk offered to help.

At the Majestic, we strive to provide exceptional customer service—regrettably, we fell short. Our guest service representatives are trained to assist guests at all possible opportunities and our staff did not live up to the Majestic Standard. The room that you stayed in is ADA compliant, and we will look into addressing the concerns you have mentioned. I would appreciate to have the opportunity to speak with you about your recent stay, and hopefully have you back soon.
