“Nice homey hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

This is a small inn near the waterfront and the Cap Sante and Anacortes marinas. It is not on Commercial Avenue, the busy main drag of the town. It is a short walk to the supermarkets, drugstores and downtown. We rented a suite for an off-season rate of about $90. It was huge and had a full kitchen, full-sized refrigerator, a Murphy bed in the living room, and a whirlpool tub. It also had an Ipod docking station and free cable TV, with two flat screen TVs available. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is cereal, breads, yogurt, fruit, and pastries, served in a nice room. This is hardly a luxury hotel but it is a very pleasant place to stay and would be good for a vacationing family or an extended stay. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Room Tip: The suite is more than we needed for a simple overnight stay.

Thank you for the good review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our Inn. We are perfectly centered in between the two busy streets in Anacortes, so we don't receive any road noise from either one of them. I think we are definitely the quietest hotel in Anacortes. The King Suite is my third favorite room in this hotel. It just has a kitchenette not a full kitchen like our Villa Units but still very well stocked.

“Best place to Stay in Anacortes washington”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

We really loved our stay at Hotel Stay Anaco Inn. The location is fantastic, with shops and bars in the immediate locality .

Our room was lovely, all white and clean like a boutique hotel. The bed was comfortable, and we had a little balcony overlooking the street. The bathroom was clean and functional, with good water pressure in the shower.

The breakfast was Great and delicious - self-service croissants and jam and pastries in a tiny room enough to keep you going.

The best thing about this hotel for us was how friendly the owners were. We arrived stressed out after a long journey and a hotel mix-up and Jack and Kuljeet really made us feel welcome and made us laugh! They are very funny. Both owners were helpful and accomodating. I would definitely recommed this hotel as for the same price you can end up at a really horrible place (as we discovered via the hotel mix-up).

“Great location; tub hasn't seen a good scrubbing in a while”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We stayed for two nights at the Anaco Inn in early October. Our room had two queen beds, free internet, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and jet tub. The hotel serves a continental breakfast consisting of toast and bagels, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce, apples, coffee, and juice.

The location is great - just off Commercial Street and close to Island Adventures (highly recommended for whale watching). The room is reasonably spacious and the free internet worked well. However, the heating unit made an odd clicking noise that made it difficult to fall asleep. By far the worst thing about this room was the tub. It had not seen a good scrubbing for quite some time as evidenced by the soap scum, dirt ring on the ledge, and dark hair. It looked fine from a distance (see picture of bathroom) but once in the tub it was a huge turnoff. The furnishings were a bit dated and a little grungy, but the dirty tub made it all seem worse.

I would not stay here again. Although $93 a night is not extravagant, I expect a clean bathroom for this price.

Room Tip: Don't bother paying more for a jet tub.

“Great Stay”

Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms are basic but updated with new furnishings and new showers. Beds were super soft and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was basic but fit the bill. Nice alternative to expensive hotels on the islands. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 202 was very large (one queen bed)
