“Amazing view & peaceful seclusion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

If you are looking for some peace and relaxation on the peninsula, this is definitely the place to come! Beautiful, private setting right on Lake Quinault, at the edge of the rain forest. We stayed during the off season and avoided having neighbors. "Resort" is maybe a stretch, as there are no amenities on site; however, the Lodge is a short drive away--and so were the crowds. It was nice to go to dinner and return to the peace & tranquility of this somewhat remote location. Can't say enough about the view, which was definitely the best aspect.

“Awesome Wedding Venue and Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

My bride and I were recently married on the shores of Lake Quinault at the Lake Quinault Resort. What a fantastic venue! Breathtaking scenery, top-knotch service, attention to detail... it was all there and we loved every minute of it.

We stayed in Unit number 8 while family, friends and wedding staff filled up the rest of the rooms. Unit was extremely charming and we hear nothing but good things from everyone else! Walking out to the deck each morning (right outside our door), taking in a few deep breaths of clean rain forest air and you know you'll have to come back again.

Jon (the owner) and his staff (Kaci and Kyle) were superb. They helped us figure out every detail, every step of the way. They were incredibly accomodating and incredibly gracious. Kaci's parents even stopped by and were integral to the preparation, set up, serving, take-down and clean-up that was required.

All in all, there's nothing but good things to report about the Lake Quinault Resort!

“Beautiful hotel on the North Shore...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

Lake Quinault Resort was a beautiful hotel. Our room was very clean and had spectacular view of Lake Quinalt. The grounds of the resort were pristine and very charming. The resort had "quiet zones" which helped to create a retreat atmosphere. The staff was also very nice and helpful. This resort is also very close to the Quinalt rain forest, and about an 30-60 minutes away from the other Olympic National Park attrations. In terms of Cons the resort is about 3 miles from the nearest restaurants and shops which could be found on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. Either than that, Lake Quinault Resort is truly a gem and we hope to be back again...

“Wonderful Setting But Rooms Need Work”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2011

We stayed two nights here The owner and staff were very nice and the setting, views, grounds, and exterior to the buildings are beautiful. Adirondack chairs on the deck, picnic tables, and a BBQ are nice touches. However, the rooms are in need of updating in terms of fixtures and style. For the price, I did not expect to find thread-bare sheets (we could literally see through them in places!), a computer monitor for a television, and worn and faded carpets. I hope the owner is able to renovate soon and make the rooms as nice as the rest of the resort.

“Absolutely Amazing !!!!! Exceeded expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2011

I am originally from WA state so me and the kids planned a trip back here up north to show them the area, as we currently live now in California. We read the reviews on here, most of them good, some of them bad, so we decided to check it out because the lake quinault region was on our to see list. Heres my thoughts:

The place is absolutely beautiful. Such a serene setting and the owner, Jon, was the one of the nicest people i have met in our travels. Makes me miss the kind folk up here in the NW. He invited us in, cooked us some food, poured us some wine and showed us around. There are a few dogs that he has, which kept the kids entertained as well, so that was nice. The property is absolutely stunning, located right on the shores of the lake. You can tell Jon has put a lot of time and effort into making this place as beautiful as it's natural surroundings. I don't know why some people have a bad experience here, it seems as if you would have to make your own trip bad at a place like this. Given, the rooms are kind of old fashioned, but I always go into an adventure with an open mind. I mean, look at where you are at, you don't come out to these woods expecting a 7 star hotel room. So we quite enjoyed the decor and rooms. Comfortable beds, beautiful views, and cozy living. The unit we stayed in also had an upstairs for the kids. There was TV to keep them entertained as well.

All in all it was everything me and my husband hoped it would be and we would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling through the area. I cant see how anyone could talk bad about the owner or the place, clean rooms, clean living, great company, all nestled in an absolutely beautiful setting. Thanks again Jon!
