This hotel is gross. It looks decent from the outside however the rooms are filthy. The carpets weren't vacuumed there were fingernails lying around. The sheets had yellow stains the shower was dirty. There were large two way mirrors behind the beds. Creepy. I didnt want to touch ANYTHING. Complete waste of money, would have rather slept in my car. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Saw the "mixed" reviews on TripAdvisor; but realize that things have to be taken in the perspective of the reviewer. Not too picky here - just want a clean and comfortable room to catch some sleep in our travels. The photos of the property made it look "newer" and decided on taking a chance on it for the budget we had in mind for something close to Kings Dominion. We left a bit disappointed, except for the helpful front desk on my leaving behind a small bag with my camera behind in departing the next morning.

Contrary to some of the poor reviews our room was clean. The sheets may have looked dirty; but were just over bleached (burnt looking), clean and free of pests. The beds were just horrible however. When we booked the only rooms available were with two queen beds. And thankful for that. one of the beds had bad springs on one side. The other bed was more like sleeping on box springs instead of a mattress. Also the placement of the mattress and box springs were low enough to make me check to see if there was indeed a mattress there.

Also if you are not a fan of the dormitory style room, you won't be happy with the sleeping area. I understand the move to flourencent lighting; but come on... it is possible to make a room inviting without CF strip lighting and wall-to-wall mirrors.

The bathroom was very clean, and the most recently updated it appears. Save for the de-mirroring that was seen in the bottom edge of the mirror. Mention this only because it seemed way out of place for as nice as the bathroom was done.

Not sure why it seems that reasonably priced hotels/motels near Kings Dominion seem to be such a crapshoot based in talking with others on our experience. While we decided to stay here because we were continuing on to Williamsburg, Va the next morning; we would also like to opt for a hotel close to Kings Dominion to save the long drive back to Northern Virginia on our yearly night out at Kings Dominion each year. An upcoming review will show what could be done at a "bargain" price.

Me and my family from outside Philly stayed here for 1 night. We were pleased with the service, breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I had 3 kids with me and my wife and for a 1 night stop on the way to Florida, this hotel was more that fine for us. The location is right next to I95, so make sure you get a room facing the other side of 95!! The staff was friendly and we would stay again if we ever go down that way for a stay. Remember ALWAYS get those ROOM SAVER and other hotel coupon booklets at the state welcome centers!! They save you boat loads of money, even better than the AAA price!!
The location of this hotel was great for I95 travel and was in a safe location!

They kept us second floor with joining rooms and my kids loved them. The breakfast was really good and the kids are willing to come back again. The only drawback is this facility has no pool.
