“Dishonest GM”

I am a Hilton Diamond member (stay in 8-9 different properties a month for work travel). I was charged for a night I did not stay at the hotel - although I did stay at the property on the next night. I was not informed of the mistake or issue, but 10 days later I received a receipt (no phone call, etc) that I was charged for the additional night when I was not there. GM would not remove the charge - hilton corporate resolved - but local hotel GM would not.

Buyer beware - you might end up a victim on this as well.

Being a member of our hotel's reward program, you are extended extra benefits. One of these benefits is if a Diamond member's room is given away or cancelled without consent, then we have to pay for a replacement room for the Diamond member at another property, pay for dinner, pay for transportation to the other property and pay you, the Diamond Member, a stipend of $100. That is one of the many perks enjoyed by our Diamond members. I am glad that Hilton Corporate was able to help you! However, our GM was following the rules and guidelines that was put in place by Hilton Coporate themselves.

We are very sorry this happened. As a note of helpfulness, please always double check with the property direct after making reservations online. They will be able to correct any user errors or typos that may have accidently been done in making the reservation.

“Great Hotel n Great friendly staff !”

While on a three week motorcycle trip I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel . Richmond Harley recommended them . Nice clean hotel n very friendly staff , great pool n very good breakfast . 100 percent happy, would highly recommend Hampton Inn .

Room Tip: My choice is always first floor , close to pool n gym and great to be close to their great breakfast...

“Don't advise to stay”

We arrived around 2:00 am in the morning. Upon entering our room, we where taken back by the musty, mildew smell of the room. With two small children that was tired, we deceided to stay instead of switching rooms. When we woke up later that morning, everyone had a headache, stuffy noses and sneezing. We contacted the front desk and they offered us a switch of rooms across the hall. The second room was a lot better and didn't have the odor. Later that afternoon, we went swimming in the pool. Around the edges of the pool, on the concrete sides you could see black and green. As my child was swimming, she picked up a chunk of long, black, wavy human hair that was floating past her and asked me "what is it". That ended our swimming for the visit. As we where walking back to the room, the hallway had the same mildew smell that we had encountered in our first room. That night when we where taken showers my older son slipped in the tub and hit his head on the faucet. There are no mats in the rooms anymore. Several ice packs later we where able to get him to calm down, when someone brought us a shower mat later that night. When we complained about our events to the manager, he implied that everything that occurred must of been our fault and that we where not entitled to their 100% guarantee.

We appreciate any and all feedback given to us by our guests. We do apologize for any issues any guest encounters at our hotel. It’s our job to satisfy all of our guests at all times. We try to exceed guests’ expectations on each and every stay. We will continue to give our outstanding and award winning service.

We have researched this personally and found no complaints about a child getting injured on this stay. We care about all of our guests and take any matter or issue seriously. The guest did ask for a bath mat that was brought to the room shortly after calling. We have a non skid treatment in all of our tubs to avoid injuries from a slip. There was no mention of anyone being injured at that time or anytime during the stay.

We were a bit surprised to find the health department had been called by the guest. Upon inspecting the room in question, three other rooms, and the pool, the inspection report revealed that there were no issues of mildew, humidity, feet smell, improperly working A/C units and thermostats. The health inspection report also documented there are non slip bottoms on all tubs that were checked and according to the inspector are fine and in good working order. The pool area was also documented and verified to have no mold or hair in the pool.

“Great staff and super clean!”

We stayed just one night while visiting relatives and Kings Dominion. The hotel is not new but was very clean and had an attentive, helpful staff. My kids liked the outdoor pool which was well kept and we liked that there was a Starbucks right across the street! Breakfast was good and the woman in charge of the breakfast was super friendly and even cleared our plates!

“The Worst Customer Service Ever Experienced”

I booked 2 rooms for a 2 night Kings Dominion package online and was guarenteed a price. Once I got to the hotel they wanted to charge me $70 extra per room for the second night. After speaking with the check-in clerk for 45 minute I then spoke with the manager and he refused to honor the online booking amount. After another 45 minutes I then called the corporate number and they also refused to honor the price, stating that it was a computer glitch and they could not honor the priced booked online. I refused to pay the inflated amount and was without a hotel, park tickets and almost 2 hours of time discussing the hotel price. (Thanks to Marriott SpringHill Suites for taking us in and giving us a deal on the park tickets).
I stayed the first night at the Hampton on the top floor. The rooms were very spacious, but the bathroom toliet handle spit water out when flushing and the bathtub grout looked like it was growing something. I will be reconsidering future stays at Hampton.

Room Tip: Don't stay here, they double your room rate.

Our Kings Dominion packages are priced per night and it states so on our website throughout the booking process.

Our one day package includes the hotel room for one night & 2 one day passes to the park.

Our two day package includes the hotel room (which has to be booked for two nights in order to recieve the package) and 2 two day passes to the park.

Please if ever there is a question about booking a package or booking a regular room, do not hesitate to call the property directly.
