“Great stay at this Hotel....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Having never stayed here, I thought this would be a great fit for wanting to be in the Arlington/Ballston area...

Upon arriving at hotel, was greeted by the doorman and helped to the front desk...

Was greeted nicely by the front desk agent, and was checked-in quickly and given a room on the 10th floor...

Self Parking is $17 a night, Valet Parking is $21 a night, if you have a bigger vehicle beware the garage is very very very tight, so a truck like mine, I had to valet since it wouldn't fit in the garage...

The room was very modern and business like...nice desk space and everything worked and the bed was very comfortable..

The bathroom had a big sink and the bathtub/shower was nicely decorated...

I didn't eat there since I woke up after breakfast ended, however upon checking out I was thanked for staying there and got the car brought up to the hotel entrance and I was on my way..

Thanks for a nice stay....

“Perfect For Us”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

The hotel was perfectly situated for our stay and very comfortable. The rooms were roomy and fresh. Via the nearby Metro (even in the rain) we easily reached our destinations. (In 15 minutes we were at the National Mall using the orange or blue Metro line.) Staff was extremely helpful -- at check-in, check-out, breakfast (which was lovely), with answers and recommendations; they worked hard to make our stay pleasant. But our favorite was Girja, our Bell Man... He greeted us at the door by name with his big warm smile, was enjoyable to converse with and always had a sparkle in his eye. We will definitely return to the Hyatt Arlington our next visit to the D.C. area to enjoy it's comforts and see the friends we made this time around.

Room Tip: The best view is towards Georgetown.

“Unbeatable location and very lovely decor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We wanted a nice hotel close to downtown DC and close to the metro. This hotel is a fantastic options if your criteria are the same. The lobby is very nice and modern, and the rooms are fairly modern as well. The bathrooms are particularly nice. The staff was helpful checking us in, despite some confusion about how many people we had in each room. The hotel is literally across the street from the Rosslyn metro station, so you can't beat that. The hotel has restaurants and other facilities but we didn't really check them out. There is free wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms (the only con about the hotel).

If you need to stay in Rosslyn or want to stay close to DC, this is an excellent option.

Room Tip: If you are going to be in need of a roll-away bed, ask if there are any ADA rooms available. They ar...

“In the District's Backyard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

After traveling to Washington for years and never staying in VA, I discovered this Hyatt.
Excellent experience. And proximity to Metro obviates need of car for city center & most attractions.

One Metro stop from the Kennedy Center and on both the Orange & Red Lines. Metro station (Rosslyn) just around the corner.
Georgetown a few minutes away by car, just across Key Bridge.
Valet and personal parking available (most spaces for valet-parked cars).
Courteous, knowledgeable, helpful staff.
Impeccably clean, attractive room. Small refrigerator, Internet connection (fee).
Excellent breakfast buffet; courteous, attentive but unobtrusive, wait staff.
Easily accessible by Metro from Reagan.

Room Tip: Better views on higher floors, South side. My preferences: away from elevators, near fire stairs.

“Not up to the quality of other nearby Hyatts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed there one night because it was cheaper than other nearby Hyatts, and for good reason. Although we had a special deal through AAA with a breakfast buffet, the staff manning the buffet were almost completely inattentive and had to summoned to get basics like coffee, juice, etc. The quality of the buffet was also not up to the standards of other Hyatts like the one on Capitol Hill. The parking was underground and not well marked for self-parking, since a great number of the parking slots, although unused, were reserved for valet parking. Security is obviously an issue there, since it is the first hotel where I have had to use my room key just to use the elevator. Although it is not far off of Interstate 66, the route back to I-66 was somewhat convoluted and not well marked. Thankfully, our GPS finally got us there. If you can afford better, I would go elsewhere.

Room Tip: Would recommend an upper level to avoid street noise.
