“Amazing Value and Customer Service”

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel last weekend. My experience started with complimentary shuttle service from Reagan National Airport. I called the hotel as soon as I got off the plane and the shuttle was waiting for me when I got outside.
The hotel staff was really nice and very accommodating. When I arrived at 9 AM on Friday, I asked the front desk clerk to hold my bag until later that afternoon when I could check in. I was shocked when he offered to check me in on the spot because my room was ready.
The hotel was surprisingly nice. The room decor was a little dated my room had 40” inch flat panel TV and the Sleep Number beds was really comfortable. My room also had a microwave and college size fridge which came in very handy.
I travel several times a year for business (but not enough to get awesome perks through hotel reward programs) so I am always aware at how some hotels nickel and dime you for every things (high speed internet water in the rooms etc)
This was not my experience at this Radisson. It was really refreshing to stay at a hotel with FREE Wi-Fi in my room. They had complimentary water and a K cup coffee maker. The tiny business center was also complimentary. Though I brought my own laptop I needed to print something out, which was also complimentary.
The hotel had a gym which was small but had a small but nice selection of equipment (2 treadmills, an elliptical machine, free weights and a free
The hotel had a restaurant with a nice breakfast buffet. It had the usual fare (eggs, breakfast meats, pastries and yogurt) but also had a really nice fresh fruit selection (assorted berries and melons) and a Belgian waffle maker. The breakfast buffet was reasonable $15 before tip. The class I took provided lunch which was catered by the hotel and which was also very tasty.
I was in town for a review class that was being given at this hotel. I actually only left the hotel once to take a 5 minute walk to the 7/11 down the block so I can’t speak to how far it is from the Metro.

Over all I was really impressed with the value and service that I got. Traveling whether for business or for fun has become such a hassle and I feel like the most basic services now have become “revenue centers” for companies in the hospitality industry. So it is really refreshing to stay at a property that seems to have a higher standard in customer service and value offered.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I am in the DC area and strongly recommend it to others.

“Nice hotel, and great pricing!”

I had the pleasure of staying at the Radisson Hotel near DCA this week. It was billed as a three star hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was. It is located near the Crystal City metro station (one stop from DCA). Their website claims it is a "block" from the metro. If you revise that up to a solid three blocks (10+ minute walk), you'll be a little closer to accurate.

There was a complimentary bottle of water waiting in my room, which was a nice introduction to the room. Very comfortable beds, with china mugs and glass glasses as well as "to go" cups in the bedroom. Coffee sachets are decent, and they even include little creamer buckets rather than that wretched non-dairy creamer baloney (though that is another option included). Nice assortment of pillows, comfortable sheets (and attractive triple-sheeted bed; no polyester bedspreads here) including a bolster and two feather pillows.

Extremely nice for the price. Additionally, the hotel has a shuttle to DCA and the metro- just call them and they'll pick you up.

Highly recommended for the price!

“Great price for DC, clean and convenient.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed here over New Year's Eve weekend and it was perfect for our frugal budget. The reason we chose this hotel was because of the convenient location to all areas (downtown, Old Alexandria, Georgetown), it is within walking distance to the metro, the price for parking was very reasonalble (half what other places were asking), it had good reviews and looked clean and over all we were very happy with our stay. The parking garage is off the 2nd floor corridor so we didn't even need to go through the front lobby when coming/going which was very convenient. The room was decorated nicely and was very clean. They only thing we didn't love was the sleep number bed. I was comfortable enough but took getting used to. The TV channels flickered a bit but not enough to complain about. Overall we had a very good experience and would definitely go back again.

“Reasonable location. Clean and friendly.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Visited Washington DC for a week, staying here.

It's a short walk to the Crystal City Metro station, which is a 15 minute ride into Washinton DC. There's not a lot to do in the area, although there are literally dozens of restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel too.

Breakfast isn't bad, if a little pricey. And evening food is pretty good. All the staff seemed willing to help, although ordering a taxi to Dulles Airport from the front desk one night was a nightmare.

Can't comment on the rooms as got a complimentary upgrade (Carlsson club).

Finally, Pentagon City has loads shops (proper shopping mall), and better food choices, and only one stop away on the metro.
