“NOT SO SWEET SUITE!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

My husband planned a weekend for my birthday in this hotel. First off, the suite, isn't so SWEET! The door to the bedroom was blocked by the bed (queen sized), no king suites at all. Second, the hotel's red walls looked like a broke down Red Roof Inn. Third, the old wooden decor was just TOO OLD to be releveant in 2012. Fourth the heat would turn off in the middle of the night (In the middle of January). The breakfast area was right beside the front door. I didn't like the garage, it was so dark in there I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car. I HATED every minute of this place. Pleas don't waste your money. I wanted to go back home (considering we live in Washington), but it was my birthday and my husband's surprise weekend to me, so I attempted to grin and bear it, but this place is in SERIOUS need of a MAKEOVER!

“Very Nice Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in July. Paid right at $110 per night for the room including tax and parking garage was conveniently located under the building. They had one of the cheapest parking garages in the area which was nicel...I believe it was an additional $14 per night. It was a short walk to the Metro Station. Our room had a queen sized bed and a sofabed. We were traveling with 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. Plenty of room! Had a fully furnished kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee pot. The bed was very comfortable and pillows were plush. There was a table with 2 chairs and a desk also in the room. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Room was very clean. When we pulled up in the parking area to check in, we became concerned with all the carpet cleaning vans outside. I thought maybe they had experienced a flood...but soon found out that it was there annual carpet/furniture/curtain cleaning weekend. It was never noisy like I thought it would be. Hotel was very quiet. Complimentary breakfast every morning was AMAZING! They have a full breakfast...best one i've had at a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful each time we needed something. One security feature I noticed was that you needed your room key to get on the elevator to go to any room. Thought that was good feature. The exercise room was well equipped with many different pieces of equipment. One downside was that there was NO pool. The teenage girls would have loved to get into a refreshing pool after a long day of walking all over DC in July! Overall, I was quite suprised with how nice this hotel was for the price. Would definetly consider and recommend this hotel again.

“Weekend stay outside DC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

Did a Friday through Monday stay December 10, 2011. Nice property with spacious two room suite. Convenient in/out nightly paid parking. Friendly staff. Very convenient to Rosslyn Metro Center and quick Metro train or bus ride to most everything - Georgetown, museums, Alexandria Old Towne. Excellent restaurants within a few block walk - Village Bistro, Asian Bistro, Hell Burgers and more. Only shortcoming was the hotel breakfast. I like low carb, low cal items, and they just weren't there.

“In need of yet another make over...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

By far the poorest Residence Inn (RI) I have ever stayed in - from the tourist loathing staff (which is funny because I am a local but somehow got lumped in with the DC tourists as far as staff's attitude was concerned!) to the less than mediocre guest rooms (extremely loud/banging HVAC system; awful water pressure, and grout covered bathroom walls. Queries to front desk are met with a "why are you bothering me" tone and an off the cuff uninformed answer. I highly recommend skipping this "jewel" and staying up the road a mile or two at the RI Courthouse.

Room Tip: Consult your magic eight ball ... it's a toss up!

“Nice Location, quiet, clean, reasonable”

I stayed here in October while visiting Georgetown university. Flew into Dulles and was able to take local transit buss to Rosslyn and walk to this hotel. It was an easy walk from the metro station. I later rented a car and the parking was easy and relatively inexpensive at the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was standard Residence Inn and replenished in a timely manner. I will likely stay here on future visits.
